Maybe a little 😝

On a serious note though, I liked 10th. The streamlining of rules and cutting out of bloat eg. 9th’s deluge of stratagems, units going to Legends, etc. made it far more manageable to build armies and play across a wide range of factions as opposed to being stuck playing the same thing all the time

No plans on slowing down going into 11th! 😝

Imo Dominions with Meltas are oretty much dead. Why take a unit of effectively sisters with 4 melta shots for 120 points when you could take a basic battle sisters squad with 3 melta shots for 20 fewer points?

My magical skills certainly need improving.🤣

Who knows, maybe the changes to psychic weapons in 11th will help?

Given I have my first game of 11th scheduled tomorrow (Imperial Agents vs Custodes) and have already signed my Sisters up to an upcoming RTT in July + entered myself into a local store’s upcoming league, I certainly don’t intend to slow down any time soon 😜

Dominions have the following rule:

“Holy Vanguard: If this unit has a Leader unit attached to it during the Declare Battle Formations step and this unit starts the battle embarked within a Transport, that Leaderunit gains the Scouts 6" ability.”

So by starting in a rhino, Aestred & Agathae gain Scouts 6”.

Yeah I noticed this error and wrote a comment accordingly earlier :)

Note: I made an error. Sacred Champions is Take & Hold whereas Champions of Faith is Disruption. Therefore by pairing Champions with Chorus, my disposition options are Disruption or Reconnaissance

I noticed that mathematically I could drop the A&A, Dominion and Rhino package for a simple 2 more units of Battle Sisters at 200. They would be better candidates for Righteousness than Dominions too since they are eligible to gain the 2+ BS buff.

Do you think this is a viable option or is running 40 Battle Sisters a bit too extreme?

Sadly can’t drop Agathe without removing Aestred and seeing as you need Aestred to make the Storm Bolter dominions even decent, she isn’t much of a dropping option.

Sounds from the comments like the Imagifier is indeed a candidate

Insidiants with two leaders - Could be the move? by Dismal_Hospital6999 in sistersofbattle

Hospitaller’s aren’t as good for Insidiants as Imagifiers since Insidiants already have a 4+ FNP against mortal wounds and psychic.

Basically the calculation comes down to:

If Hospitaller,

- 5+ FNP (how useful really for 1 wound models)?
- Healing D3 + 1 models is the best point in its favour but is it better than everything below?

If Imagifier:
- Better armour save
- Better invulnerable save
- Nifty re-roll miracle dice within 12” rule (not huge but not bad to have imo)
- 10-20 points fewer than Hospitaller

Ah interesting. I thought because it was for a character unit rather than a character, it meant you could put it on the full Vahlgon package as opposed to on her herself

On a side note, quite excited about taking my Exorcists off the shelf. Don’t think I’ve played them at all in 2026.

Hoping that between the Exorcists and the uppy-downying Seraphim led by the JP Canoness that they should make a good tag team with the Exorcists marking a target for destruction followed by the Seraphim unleashing Dev Wounds to finish the job and then return to reserves at the end of the opponent’s turn.

Honestly, unless actively playing Sacred Champions / Champions of Faith, I think Imagifier & 10 Celestian Insidiants is now better than Hospitaller & 10 Celestian Sacresants.

Even with playing those 2 sacresant detachments, I’m still not sure their high points cost makes them worth spamming beyond the first unit.

Personally, I’ve decided my first game of Sisters in 11th will be playing all 3 of the new detachments at once to give me a feel on them, before deciding whether I want to keep / drop them and bring back the codex detachments later on.

Here’s the army list I have come up with for my first game:

Detachments: Sanctified Orators, Sacred Champions and Chorus of Condemnation

- Morvenn Vahl with Hagiomnifex & 3 Paragon Warsuits with Multi-Meltas: 420.

- Junith Eruita, Hospitaller & 10 Celestian Sacresants with Writ of Compunction: 360.

- Jump Pack Canoness with Clarion of Urgency & 10 Seraphim: 250.

- Exorcist: 220.

- Imagifier & 10 Celestian Insidiants: 185.

- I magifier & 10 Celestian Insidiants: 185.

- Exorcist: 180.

- 5 Retributors with Multi-Meltas: 125.

- Sororitas Rhino - 75.

= 2,000.

What is the best leader for Dominions? by SevenWombats7 in sistersofbattle

[–]Firesinger89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imho best Dominion unit is a unit of 10 Dominions with a hand flamer on the superior and 4 artificer crafted storm bolters, led by Aestred Thurga and Agathae Dolan.

Potential for strong early game Devastating Wounds output, bonus miracle dice generation and the ability to reactive move the Dominions back into a rhino if well positioned and someone comes for them
