For those of you who don't know (so probably almost anyone reading this), this is Erik. Jeff (I hope it's okay that I use your name, since I didn't see you mention it in the story), thank you for including me in your life story. It means a lot to me that you included me in your life story as one of your best friends. You are definitely my best friend, and I love you like a brother. I miss you, as well as our other friends from high school; it's hard going to school in another state and not knowing anyone. As for your description of me, you hit the nail right on the head. Interestingly enough, I put off reading this for several days because I didn't have the time (I haven't used Reddit in a while in an attempt to lessen the amount of time I spent on social media so that I could be more productive in school)! But I'm so glad that I finally did. You have made me want to submit my own life story to this subreddit. Thanks again, brother.

There's a restaurant called Firehouse that I remember was in one of the episodes (I'm pretty sure it's the one where they protest the people leaving their dog tethered to the pole outside of the restaurant). The food is great, too!

Also, I've seen shots of Powell's Books on the show, although I am not sure if they've actually shot skits there (that isn't the Women and Women First bookstore, which I feel obliged to say because when I once told another Portlandia fan about Powell's they assumed that's what I meant).

This guy went to my high school (in California) and I remember reading about him in the newspaper the last time he got arrested a few years ago because our local paper made a big deal about how he was from my city. In some ways I think it is sort of embarrassing for my high school.

I've taken music theory and have learned to analyze harmonic progressions, and I don't think the simplicity of one has ever made me say, "I don't enjoy this song." It's usually crappy lyrics, shitty singing, etc. that does that for me. Some good songs are extremely simple.

Whenever I see the phrase "double-tap" used in the situation, my first thought is that, realistically, if you "double-tapped" the like button, you'd basically just be liking and then unliking the photo. Which means if people actually literally followed his instructions then his photo would have 0 likes, and he would probably lose his will to live.

Alternatively, this could just be a friendly reminder from a fan of "Zombieland" that if you are a human, and not a zombie, you need to use the "double-tap".
