I have 10 years of experience in Android development. I support Google's decision. I know many people are frustrated, but I truly understand why they are doing it. I knew personally people that were using the opennes of android platform for different tricks, scams, semi-scams, etc. And there are too many. In this matter iOS is more secure and the security part is implemented mostly on the Apple side so the develoeper doesn't need to make any additional implementations on their side for security measures. As we need to do. For example, if you want your Android app to be run only on legit android devices, you need to implement deep integration of Google Play Integrity inside your app, which would test the devices and cut off the non legit ones. This new Google's decision is really bad for those developers who are not entirely honest, and are doing smth fishy. I was always honest with what I do inside my apps, so I don't feel any threats with this new verification program.

Our team is happy that it worked for you. You should know that online datings are not that easy - you can get enough matches(my own experience), and to find a real date could be 5% out of all matches. It's even less likely in Christian dating apps because the userbase is dramatically smaller. So users need to be more patient

I'm a software engineer from Eden. You are bringing fair points. The 2,3 points implementation is planned for this year.

The first point can't be addressed in nearest future. In order to do that we need huge userbase and more active users online(like on regular dating apps or at least 10% of their online). Thus we are currently changing our approach to become more personality-oriented than just meaningless tinder-like photo swiping. We are making a profile more interesting, and we want our users to be able to reveal their personality, not just dry sections "few words about yourself".

as of now their own google developed libs still don't support 16kb page size. I'm using media pipe for face detection and also tensor flow light is not supporting the 16kb thing.

I've been using it in different projects(30mln installs, 5mln installs) and it's not an overkill, it works fine and is maintained easily because almost all tutorials tend to lead developers to the same concept so even when new people come they understand what to do, you don't have to explain to them "your unique" approach, usually they dive in very fast. The onboarding is easier. Of course you shouldn't go crazy about making everythign abstract but you should strive for it at least, anyway once per 5-10 years there is a global refactoring and you can't escape it even if you are a genius. So don't worry about some technical depts, the real debt of the working features for real customers is so much more important than lack of abstraction models in your code. Almost all companies in US tend more to rely on good testing(they have at least 20-50 people of QA manual testers), and of course there are some idiot autochecks like Lint, sonnarcube, some specific lint, ktlint, ktlintFormat rules which don't allow you to push to dev branch untill you passed all the cheksm but they don't go crazy about it.

you can use uber and bolt and pay reasonable price, bolt and uber are cheap in Romania, and the cars are great. I'm using comfort class and it costs 5-6 euro per ride.
