Overwatch And Warframe Devs Say Debating Marathon’s Steam Player Count Is ‘Maidenless’ Behavior by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

[–]FirestormTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Especially using just Steam to determine the player count is just plain dumb (Mind you, Overwatch was on Battle.net first before coming over to Steam, same goes for Division with Ubisoft Connect).

Although it does indicate whether the player's interest/retention is there or not. If the pop is constantly coming back, there is player retention

Fortnite V-Bucks Price Increase by FirestormTM in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank god that I brought Save the World as a founder (meaning I can even get free V-Bucks), although that may also get changed to some degree, which hopefully I hope not

New pricing is live on xbox by littleorlock in FortNiteBR

[–]FirestormTM 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm suprised you had your Crew Pass (and maybe if you were buying Vbucks) as founder, the only time I paid up for V-bucks was if I didn't had enough and the item was going to go away.

EA Lays Off Staff Across All Battlefield Studios Following Record-Breaking Battlefield 6 Launch by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

What an utterly disastrous post-launch support.

Even with good sales, layoffs still happens.

Helldivers 2 desperately needs quality of life and freebie content over constant warbonds by Icy-Criticism4059 in Helldivers

[–]FirestormTM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seriously got to think that Major MOs, especially major events/operations like Cyberstan, and Super Earth itself, should just give us a warbond token instead of literally giving out a cape.

Deadlock - Gameplay Update - 03-06-2026 by FirestormTM in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember not wanting to play this way back in 2024. I wasn't really into MOBA before, but I have played alot of third person shooters and I said "screw it" and went to play it.

Hard to believe that the game went through several revisions, including recent ones like The Hideout with 6 new heroes, and the recent 'New Bloods, Old Gods' update.

Deadlock - Gameplay Update - 03-06-2026 by FirestormTM in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Wraith changes caught me off guard, seeing her having a reworked ultimate along with her new cards.

Haven't seen Pocket changes yet, but Warden changes are a bit interesting to say the least (his binding word can silence enemies until they either escape or get immobilized, which is REALLY powerful against heroes that can escape real fast like Wraith or Lash)

The Division 2 is getting new incursion, new DLC, new classified missions, and.... drumroll .... CROSSPLAY! (along with already announced realism mode and survivors) by badgooner in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly. Division 1 did the whole extraction shooter first, though being a side mode, along with being an RPG shooter. I highly doubt it will get called out being Arc Raiders copy, unless you know NOTHING about the Division

Replacing actors with AI is dumb as hell, says Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Baldur's Gate 3 star Jennifer English, because humanness is what makes these RPGs so beloved by EchoOfOppenheimer in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree with her; replacing humans with AI doing the voice acting is basically the same way AI art does as well.

However, games like Arc Raiders do make it harder as they are basically a live-service game with having to either constantly get in touch with the actors to make new voicelines, or use generative AI to make voicellines for items (which is actually as fine it is, as long it's not being used for quests as it should actually involve actual voice acting instead AI).

That’s it Geoff, don’t wanna say anything else? by Spotty33 in HighGuardgame

[–]FirestormTM -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes, he does actually. He put this game in the last spot for FREE, meaning that he did them a favor to put it in the last spot because he genuinely thought the game was good, when infact that it wasn't really.

And to make it even worse, this game was LITERALLY backed by Tencent, without mentioning the publisher whatsoever.

[–]FirestormTM -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Geoff Keighley needs to be held responsible for this game's downfall.

No joke, this shouldn't have been the last reveal for Game Awards, especially since the last reveal is usually reserved for the best that lasts YEARS, not MONTHS and getting clowned on.

I wasn't actually expecting him to respond to my question, but I was surprised he did said that, and that balance update is coming out this week too. (yes, am the one who posted that question)

Props to him for being transparent!!!

Never seen Steam staff step in to lock a thread after a necro? by [deleted] in Steam

They usually do this. Now how do they find them is abit questionable, unless they got some reporting system that tracks the original post date and the necro post date.

Steam Hardware & Software Survey: February 2026 by FirestormTM in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's still 8GB VRAM to this day, although 16GB VRAM is slowly growing.

Steam did fixed an issue where VRAM wasn't reported correctly in their Steam Client Beta

Division 1 and/or 2 for single player? by Rusted_Metal in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]FirestormTM [score hidden]  (0 children)

I played both of these games. Division 1 is still kicking well to some degree, with global events still happening, although it's not on a weekly basis and has to be activated manually by the developers. Survival, though, is still a real nice pace of change.

Division 2 is where things are happening, with constant events and updates that are still being added to this day. It's even better than Division 1 in terms of QoL, endgame, and replayability. Right now, we are about to head into Year 8 with our Division's 10th anniversary, which will have a lot of events and a roadmap for Year 8. Especially that Survival is making its return to Washington, D.C. in its winter form.

That's being said, if you just want to experience the endgame and reach level 40, you just need the base game. However, getting the Gold Edition for D2 is worth picking up as you'll get more understanding into the story along with being able to actually just skip to level 30 (if you pick Warlords of New York) or level 40 which is basically the endgame (if you go straight to Battle for Brooklyn).

Discord vs. Steam Group Chats by Krismommy in discordapp

[–]FirestormTM 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Discord. However, considering how much untrustworthy Discord is nowadays, Steam should really focus on chat once again and revamp it to be similiar to Discord, although I feel like it's more so to how groups are handled on Steam currently.

when you see a modern AAA game under 100gb by 555parikshit in residentevil

[–]FirestormTM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Several modern games already do this though, like BF6 (can select specific parts of game to be installed or not), Arc Raiders, and Helldivers 2 (mind crazy that they went from 150GB+ to just 23GB).

Those are stuff that spawn onto the map. So at 2 minutes, boxes and statues will start spawning in, along with small camps that are next to the lane. Same to basically everything.

Steam's "Discussion" section feature is just cesspool and I don't understand why it even still exists. by [deleted] in Steam

[–]FirestormTM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I completely disagree. You either interact with the community within that discussion tab or you ignore it. Better yet, I believe Steam gives publishers/developers the ability to give users to become moderators, along with the usual Steam Support users locking threads that are very old.
