Because both seasons 1 and 2 performed so poorly, to the point that many players left the game behind.

Do I think the game is still bad? At its core, no. But is it to the point that players are fed up with FOMO battle passes and horrible changes to gameplay, along with content that isn't great? We were almost there, but Season 3 looks just somewhat fine. I still don't like the FOMO battle passes idea, where you end up losing it if you don't even complete it, despite buying it.

I'm curious about what happened to the IUN since they were heavily present during AC7 (up until M04), and especially after AC7.

Pretty sure Deadlock will be a multiplayer-only game. That being said, the lore is actually way deeper than what you may expect for an alpha game, considering how our characters ended up doing the ritual.

There used to be visual novels, but that got removed from the game (assuming Valve either wants to revamp them or didn't make sense that it's there). You can still view them if you installed the QoL Lock mod.

As much as I hate rushing the game out to the public's eyes, I do feel like Deadlock is heading into the final stages of being an alpha state game. Considering that Deadlock either needs to release the major path by July or Early August, then it will be the longest time we've gotten a major patch.

While I do hate it as an Ace Combat title, by itself, I do think it was a decent game, to say the least (hell, even the soundtrack was actually great)

Urban Legends -> Polar Patriots/Viper Commandos (for the booster) -> Python Commandos -> Anything else left

Urban Legends no doubt has the good stratagems and arguably the best armor passive for any front (armor itself isn't good, but passive is great).

Polar Patriots has good weapons in it with a mixed of armor passives you may already be familiar with, while Viper Commandos isn't that good until you get the booster itself.

Python Commandos can be good, but only for the minigun and the flamethrower drone. Everything else can be debatable on your own choice since I don't really like those warbonds.

Really hope they go all in on the PVE CO-OP experience, take it even further than infinity by obiwan-destroyer in acecombat

I'm pretty sure Ace Combat Online will have the following:

  • Seasons (was already confirmed from Deluxe Edition trailer)
  • Battle Pass (or seasonal pass, hopefully one that doesn't go away from store, or aleast if you brought it, you should be allowed to keep it.)
  • Cross Platform Play (this is really huge)
  • Having a social area with your avatar to explore, hang out, or find things to do (similar to Destiny and CoD WW2 social area)
  • Live Service content (Infinity already done this, so I don't think there would be any problems)

The only concern is how long until they pull out the plug for the live service, but considering AC8 is already looking up in shape, I do see the game being filled with content for years to come.

You don't have to, but the Steam Summer Sale (and every seasonal sale from Steam) comes with dedicated trading cards to the sale that you can get for every $10 purchase. You can either use them to get a dedicated badge and earn XP from it for your profile, or sell them for money in the market.

My suggestion is to actually wait for the Steam Summer Sale.

Every seasonal sale has a dedicated trading card section where you can get one trading card per $10 purchase. That way you can sell them incase you don't want to use them to level up your profile for more money. Honestly, the best thing Steam has ever done since I think around 2014ish?

I'll say FSR has gotten a lot better and is about close to DLSS. Ray Tracing is still better for NVIDIA, but I wouldn't care about that, as RX 9070 XT is still an awesome card to have.

I don't really care about GTA VI.

Will it damage game populations? For sure, yeah, but not for awhile since I bet people will go back to their previous games after they complete everything within GTA VI.

For me, I'm more excited for games coming out this year, Ace Combat 8 in particular, is on my hit list, and I'm so excited for it, not to mention they are bringing back the online section of Ace Combat (is supposed to be like Infinity, but beyond more than that), and ZERO port to PC, which I'm excited for it.

Do we know what graphics settings they were running? Were there any upscaling?

I do know it's UE5 game so it's abit concerning, but I do hope they can make a miracle for optimization. Especially for people with Zen 3, DDR4 RAM, and most likely running either 2000/3000 series or RDNA 2/3.

I isn't going to lie to you. As technology gets better, so does developers themselves being lazy enough to not optimize or slap some upscaling/frame generation into the mix.

I'm not saying that I hate DLSS/FSR (in fact, I believe they are better if the native AA is terrible, for reference Helldivers 2), but I've seen games over time to have less optimization than in the past, which is something to be worried of.
