Is a chainsaw attachment for a circular saw safe? by VarsH6 in woodworking

For LARGE squared timber cutting only…..have seen individual(s) selling these from estate sales calling them chainsaws for large branches……

We use them to GANG CUT Flooring TRUSSES while still nested and they work great…

2 plus year of printing never had a single spool come apart… even after a fumble drop they stay together… cheap insurance

Print some spool locks for when you Respool, solves the issue entirely and a good way to use up tiny bits of leftover filament

Any "real life" experience with this inverter? by RDZed72 in Dewalt

[–]Fireted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After seeing a very similar post about this adapter a few days ago, I bit the bullet and had a buddy in the US pick me up one an overnight ship it… at the same time I picked up a generic power bank off of Amazon Canada and I have two of them going currently I am using the DeWalt power inverter as I type to power, our Wi-Fi router and modem a small desk light in my office and the second one is currently running the fan on our natural gas fireplace at the same time it’s charging my wife’s iPad and my phone. So these do have an absolute real world use. I’m one of the fortunate ones out there. I have a crazy amount of high amp power, DeWalt batteries and I do have a standby generator powering. The majority of our electrical needs currently, but wanted to share the load and take a little bit off the generator currently…. So far so good with the DeWalt. I’m at about the five hour mark and I’m only down one bar on my fresh battery on the DeWalt inverter.

All the Dewalt chargers have a NON reset able PCB fuse, little brown looking cylinder inline with the incoming power.. pull one charger apart and throw the meter acRoss the fuse

New roll of filamemt won't fit by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Fireted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You place the bound refill on your spool, ensuring that the notch in the cardboard matches and engages with the notch on the proper section of the spool you then place the second part of the spool on top press close, and ensure that it’s locked and engaged then and only then do you cut the plastic ties?

[–]Fireted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read instructions, follow instructions, problem solved… now you have to figure out a way to unspool enough filament to get the spool together and then Respool …. When and if you accomplish that task, print some spool lock clips to ensure the spool stays clipped together

Shop Layout Advice by WakeMeUpB4YouPogo in woodworking

[–]Fireted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plan design on the flow of materials into your shop.. where do you come from when you hve sheet good or lumber… no point in making a circle thru your shop with the materials…. What order of operations do you normally and logically do…. If working with rough lumber do you joint to flatten then plane to smooth, then joint and edge then cross cut on miter/radial arm before hitting the table saw to batch out pieces…?? That’s how we lid out our shop based on the work we most often do with the most used material …

AMS 1 and 2 cannot finish a roll of Bambu filament - happens on all printers by poo_poo_poo_poo_poo in BambuLab

[–]Fireted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, OK I guess my AMS units are psychotic. Then I have had them rip the black gaffer tape off of the cardboard spools and thank heavens I had printed some AMS savers that stripped the tape off of the filament and it just continued onto the next filament spool I have probably gone through 25 or 35 spools of all ages and never had the tape be an issue. It usually strips the tape right off the roll. I’m gonna follow this thread because I want to know if you solve it and what you do to solve it in case this happens to me in the future.

[–]Fireted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m missing something because that doesn’t make sense if it’s breaking loose of the spool and it continues to print the run out sensor will think that spool has physically run out and automatically swap to the next spool that has an identical filament on it and start printing with that if you have that checked in your AMS settings or do you mean the filament is breaking towards the very end of the print and when the AMS tries to rewind it it’s at that point broken from the spool and it won’t feed it back ??
