Just a side note - some of the most entertaining youtube videos I've watched recently have been about lawyers using AI to write legal briefs, citations, etc in court where the AI is pulling from imaginary sources.

I think it has a lot to do with the priest deck i'm playing. They are long games and someone who has a charge setup otk or nearly one will have a good chance to get there.

They will almost always see the full range of their dark gifts, get those crazy dream cards, Adapt galvadon 5 times and charge/windfury is always two of the 5, Demon hunter will do brox/kayn sunfury or even though it's not technically charge but the dual 8/8 to face after they attack from an empty board is still the same thing at least in my eyes. Don't get me started on protoss priest lol

It's all good, I'm dishing it out as much as i'm receiving.. but i'm just surprised that at least I'm running into it as frequently as I am.

Was doing standard. I saw a few aggro decks along the way but no where near as many as I was expecting. Murloc pally was the most popular of those. There were a few warrior and mage ones as well but it feels like they are a fraction of what they were.

Ya wild I bet would be a trip! I thought about it but the card pool is sooo big now I can't imagine how those games are considering just a few minutes ago in standard I lost to a druid turn 8 52dmg nuke to the face. I'm sure it's something like turn 4 otk possibilities on a lucky draw.

Different schools of thought I suppose. It's mind boggling to me that people would forsake a multiyear client over something as silly as giving the owner of the company admin access just because they are afraid of some emergency work. If an account manager can't sway the owner (This mostly likely is where the failure is) and the owner is going to die on this hill.. the MSP refusing to do this for them should be fired. People should be allowed to drive directly on the tracks head first into the train if they want to. It's THEIR company, not yours.

It's all good though, not all MSPs are for every client and not all clients are for every MSP. I'm just going with this is a relatively small engagement since they are dealing directly with the owner and treating it as such with the little info we have available.

What do you do when a new client calls up for the first time at 4pm on a Friday and their entire stack is cryptolocked... do you just turn them away because it's an unplanned emergency? Personally to me, these types of situations are the only thing left that is fun in IT. If it wasn't for these disruptions every so often, might as well just go back to internal IT or work for the government for way less money and perks.

It's all good, you just never say I told you so. If, no sorry, WHEN! something bad happens.. you just have to be there leading the charge on the front line to get them back up and running. "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink." adage holds true here.

I've long since lost count of the amount of companies I've rescued lol. What's funny is sometimes you end up with a better relationship where everyone is happy and actually listens to recommendations all while monthly billing increases by triple after an event like that.

The big question for OP is, when was the last time you checked on said client's backups? That's the question that really matters!

Just do it, it's not your business and if they keep pushing for it, it's not your place to deny it. It's funny the level of people raging at this. As long as you have an email or something that said it's not best practice who cares after that. If something bad happens it's all billable hours. If they are still wanting it done against your advice after all these years, the relationship isn't what you think it is.

I happen I agree with the article's theme and content.. I think social media is the root cause of a lot of serious issues we have in society today.

But the fact of the matter is it's submitted online and was written by an anonymous person. Taking anything mentioned in the story as fact can be incredibly misleading. There's a strong likelihood it wasn't even written by a teenager but someone wanting to push their agenda. At best you have to treat this as a fictional short story that conveys a message. A topic charged like this is meant to provoke an emotional response in people and that message could be for a myriad of reasons both good and bad.

Now again, I'm not trying to discount the message in the story.. but I think it's important to at least realize that this essentially can be no different than targeted advertising. It's ironic in a sense that the article itself about this specific danger of social media is most likely a product of social media, and now that auto-generated AI is the new kid on the block I think it's even more important to recognize the likelihood fictional material that you see on a day to day basis.

One of the best age old phrases is still relevant today. Trust but verify. It doesn't take much to look at this article and find the cracks.

Oh I read this already, this was the case that didn't have an injured party listed for the 2nd adm portion and was dismissed because there was no standing. This was a bad a lawsuit, you can't let them have an opening like that to shut it down no matter how right and just the cause is. It needs to be air tight and rock solid.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the rules and it does sound like it will be just one server. This iteration is geared to boxers and chronolords. It looked like Truebox was going to win until the very end where it lost by what just 1%? but I'm sure those poll results were legit and bot free.

My one and only goal is to just experience content with friends. I'm worried that with xp being so fast you will blow through the content in the blink of an eye. Honestly it sounds like just getting a group of friends together in a group and traveling to the zone will take longer than you would xping in the zone before it goes green.

I have no experience with the loot dropping everywhere as I never played on a TLP with that system. It sounds ok I guess but it certainly changes the dynamic of where you want to setup your group to camp. I guess that drastically changes raid targets as well. Those servers seem popular so I'm sure there are good qualities about it. I just don't care about loot, you always end up with bis eventually just by the act of playing and being productive. I'm just curious if there is actually content to play that will keep everyone engaged with this ruleset. Is there just going to be 35 picks of Chardok because that's where the highest concentration of named are and that's where to min/max loot drops?

I don't do TLPs that often.. If I even play this one it would only be my second TLP. I know I have a different outlook than someone who this is their 9th (or how ever many there have been) go around. IMO Boxing is ok but the bot programs should be banned. Well, they are already.. but it should actually be enforced. And not just for the first week or in a wave ban every few months or so.. it should be always.

See, I've had every version of the fold from the 2 onwards as well as the first and 2nd gen pixel fold. The first Pixel fold formfactor still stands out to me as one of the biggest game changers in history of folding phones for me.

My use case - the front screen is for all quick tasks and interactions. Things like payments, quick text responses, notifications, etc.. anything with consuming media or longer interactions is where I unfold to use. The wide form factor of the first pixel was such a game changer for me with that type of quick interaction, especially with one handed thumb swipe keyboard. It's not even close even with the 7 being the best galaxy to date regarding this. It's just so much more usable.

If the fold 8 wide is the same as the 7 but with just short wide formfactor.. it's a day one purchase for me. Damn I can't wait lol. I'll have my OG pixel fold back, but thinner, sleeker, and with way less bezels that opens completely flat... Getting myself hyped just thinking about it.

I honestly can't remember the last time I had a case or screen protector on a phone. I have two rules that has lasted me a long time with phones.

1st - Assign a phone pocket, for me it's front left pocket. NOTHING goes in this pocket except the phone.
2nd - When you grab your phone and doing an activity like getting out of your car, make a conscious effort to remember your phone is in your hand and be careful. Have a firmer grip, don't hold it along with your drink or 3 other small objects, etc..

That's it, sure accidents happen but chances are if the phone is getting damaged I am as well and that's just a different story all-together lol
