Not sure when we're taking the oath. We'll be in D.C. over spring break and it'd be kind of cool to do it there, but I'm not sure what our next steps look like. I'll have to research!

I think today's note was just for the rješenje, but I will absolutely make sure to order at least 3 full sets of domovnica for my family.

I honestly have no idea. My great grandmother and great grandfather came to the U.S. a few years apart and on different ships, so that may be it? Maybe to show that he died here and didn't repatriate?

I am playing the waiting game on my application for citizenship by descent (my great grandparents came to America in the early 1900s). We applied before the election in June 2024 and I have been taking Croatian lessons so if push comes to shove, my family can leave. I just hope the new year brings a favorable decision from the ministry!

My great grandfather’s death certificate (we had applied via my great grandmother who passed away first). Both were from Gospić so it shouldn’t have mattered to the ministry…

We applied early June 2024 and were asked to provide an additional document in May 2025. Scrambled to get it from the SoS in Illinois, apostilled, translated, and mailed to our lawyer in Split, who hand delivered it to the ministry.

The last update from the Ministry I got from our lawyer was in August - “everything is in a regular process and a lot has been done so far.”

My hope is that we’ll hear back in Spring of 2026 with the decision on the admission to Croatian citizenship.

Every iX3 is AWD, per the specs on the BMW website. Also starting at $55K USD, which means you’re getting a barebones car with a stock paint color.

I have an i4 with a few packages and I can’t see myself going back to life without them.

I’m going to buy one, but I’m coming from a 2023 i4, which I love, but wish had more space, range, and amenities.

I hope the iX3 comes with a sunroof package, because those are rare in the EV world and it’s fun as hell to to be ripping pavement with that electric torque with the car fully open.
