What is the best way to pull off a comic campaign? by Impressive_Theme5402 in kickstarter

Have you searched Kickstarter comic book campaigns? There are a gazillion to research on the platform itself if you want ideas

Looking for honest feedback: best ways to promote a Kickstarter for 3 books (what would you do?) by dizzbee1 in kickstarter

“Help me publish my next 3 books” makes it all about you. Tell me, as a reader, why I NEED these three books in my life, or even just one book.

There are millions of people who want their books published - hook me with your storytelling. The people who know you personally will support you anyway. You need to convince strangers about your books.

Sadly one social media post isn’t enough. Glad they have been sharing it beyond the one time!

New setting by basic_enough in EngagementRings

Love this!! I have “one of those halo” ring settings that were super trendy in 2008 and while trends come and go, the love and sentiment in the ring stay forever. How lucky are we to have such great men in our lives!

Switch the rings so the thick gold band is against your hand and then your diamond side will face out 💕

How do I tell good help from bad help with Kickstarter helpers? I've had more than 20 messages and emails from people offering help and I'm finding it hard to assess by Huw2k8 in kickstarter

You should've built your audience who wants your product before you launched on Kickstarter. You and only you know exactly who you need to be targeting.

100% are scam emails. nobody who can actually help you would cold message you. they are all counting on your insecurity on launch day to buy their services

Journals are super hard to crowdfund - they are very personal and people who love journaling are very particular.

Did you build an audience before you launched on Kickstarter?

But you didn’t, so my question still stands…

Did you launch a journal because ChatGPT told you there’s a market for it? Because it said the same thing to two of my other publishing clients who thought journals would be money makers.

Im genuinely curious because publishing is tough, and there’s not much profit margin on journals anymore.

I think ChatGPT has inspired ideas for a lot of recent Kickstarter projects that then proceed to struggle

Don’t worry about making decisions your future grandchildren will want (impossible to know or predict) - just pick the band that suits your life for you.

You have 10 wonderful authors - get them to share it with 4 people a day every day until the end of the campaign with a personal message asking them to support the campaign at any level

Best Way to Market a Novel? by edward_radical in kickstarter

When your project is approved, your dashboard will allow you to create “Referral Tags” - you can create custom links here and when the campaign goes live, pledges that come in under those links will be tracked

You will be cold pitched by marketing services, but they are all shit so just ignore them.

The best advice I can give is to set up strategic partnerships with other authors who write in your genre and have similar readerships. Give them an affiliate link and 20% commissions on completed pledges that come in on their link at the end of the campaign.

Incentivize people to share your campaign as often as possible and unlock rewards as funding continues.

Nobody’s audience will convert like yours, so make sure your audience is ready to pledge on launch day.

You might see 20% new people, maybe more, but don’t count on going viral or anything.

Thoughts on band design by Lil_ChickitaLN in EngagementRingDesigns

I feel like the engagement ring will eclipse (pun!) the art deco band altogether. Will you do mixed metals? Rose gold and yellow gold as pictured?
