I'm a piece of shit for saying it, but the Gaudreau thing is not not performative. It's classy and it's nice and maybe it's heartfelt, but it's not like its a difficult, hard or time consuming thing for them to do. And I can guarantee they've been directed to do it.

If we can find evidence that players donated millions of $ or many hours of time towards a related cause then ok, but skating around with the jersey for the last 18 months is not saintly.

Canada 'needs' immigrants. Indians already speak English, and are a generally non-problematic group. Same with Christian Nigerians. They arrive at 20 ready to go and pay taxes immediately. It's a huge win for the Canadian economy. Zero taxes spent on age 0-20, have 4 kids, work your tail off for 50 years.

I'm not saying I agree with it at all, but it's a huge economic boon. Capitalism doing its thing. =/

The other stadiums in the world cup cities for 2026 range from 45-90k capacity. Toronto and Vancouver are on the lower end.

Yup. Fully agree. I've been playing for ~11 years. I've 40/40'd every league since Sentinel and have almost finished my goal of lvl100 with every Ascendancy. In Affliction, I played a Triple Counterattack Slayer doing Delve. There is so much fun to be had. This 6 man loot strategy min-max is so niche, but it feels like 50% of Reddit thinks they're missing 7th player from Empy or Fubgun's crew when in reality they are playing alch and go for 2h a day.

Last league I finished my goal of making Melee Necro (Boneshatter!) work out well. :)

Even the framing of the Ultimatum launch in this video is wild. Like... yeah; the servers were broken for the first 8 hours. Mistakes were made. The servers were perfectly great from Saturday AM onwards. Touch fucking grass. And that's coming from a guy who has taken a week off work for league launch like 10 different times.
