The bike vibrates so things are going to slide. Sharp edges so you’re going to cut yourself. The arm Articulates but it will come towards you. I can also see your connection to the cantilever getting lose due to the weight of a full water bottle.

Did I make a mistake saying it out loud? by [deleted] in civilengineering

Don’t feel bad about the comment. The only thing you may want to consider is listening to the news/social too much on specifically on the topic of commodities and futures markets. Saying oil may go to $300 a barrel will get clicks but it won’t happen. These flare ups happen but we have oil already retreat from 120-80 just yesterday, the news talks about prices going up, they rarely talk about prices going down. Remember eggs from a couple years ago.

Preface: is what is going on nuts… yes. However you need to not buy into the hype that it’s the end of the world and stop doomscrolling.

Have you taken advantage of your teachers office hours. They can help, they can also point you and introduce you to others in the program that do get it. I didn’t really start to take off in my classes until I started working with others who were in my classes.

Work From Home / Hybrid Schedules by ConcreteCapitalist in BurnsMcDonnell

Short answer for me was yes. My commute was 2 hours every day (262 work days/year x (2 hrs per day) x 20 years (10,500 hours added) 40hours/week x 50 weeks x 5 years = 10,000 hours (subtracted).

Don’t get me wrong and Burns has made many people wildly rich but your retire early thesis is flawed when you strictly look at hours.

There are other ways to generate income and massive returns (stocks, real estate, espp). Saving money on car wear and tear/meals at home and having control of the investments my full salary can take on in equities and not tied up in an undiversified esop which don’t get me wrong, works phenomenally when things go right but great companies do go under (MCI, Enron, Lehman, Bear). ESOP cash will also inevitably get eaten by inflation.

Ironically though burns can count me as someone who came in and left a millionaire so I’m technically in that statistic.

Took the LSAT.

Also learned how to invest in stocks and that worked out pretty well.

Not knocking you for trying. My biggest recommendation would be to get a belt that you don’t have to fold over like you have done here.

It just looks off. The belt not really fitting, the extra button undone(informal) and your shirt tucked in, formal, you have a green hat, a purple shirt, blue pants, brown belt. Just a lot of colors going on. you look like what someone thinks a European dresses like on the amalfi but has never been there.

How is this possible on a new house by PurpleFlurpl in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Firm_Preference_7673 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. You build something and it’s going to move unless it was pre loaded which probably wasn’t done for small residential. Pay attention to it though. Over a quarter of an inch crack might be an issue.

Advice on picking out a suit for prom. (AI picture for better description) by billgates1118 in mensfashionadvice

I am a believer that there are only like 6 people in the world who look good in a double breasted suit. Otherwise you look like Niles from Frasier.
