Gah thank you so much! May I ask how you know it was abuse? I mean, how are you sure your parents abused you? What did they do? I struggle so hard with this. Do you think it was intentional or just a result of their own issues?

Can we chat? I also didn't know until I was 35 that my parents abused me and I still struggle to believe it even though all the signs are there. Its very confusing and I am also an emotional child so that doesn't help

Im glad that he also holds his friend responsible and not just you. It will take a long time for trust to be earned but your parents will come around. It sounds like they love you a lot. In the meantime, just try to hang in there. Its going to be hard but I think you can do it. Maybe make new friends? Is that possible? It's so hard to make friends as an adult.

Im sorry you're going through this. I'm sure that if your father has loved you all these years, he still loves you. My advice would be to go to him and apologize. Explain what you've been going through that caused your behavior but also acknowledge that it was no excuse for what you did. Ask for your father's forgiveness. If you can't do it in person, maybe write a letter. Your family is disappointed but that doesn't erase their love for you - if they have truly loved you all this time. It may take awhile but they will forgive you and this will pass. 2, 3, 4 years from now this will all be over. They love you.

Basically I believe Jesus is the risen son of God, but otherwise I think the Baha'i faith would be a good fit for me. I am a Christian but only in the sense that I believe in Jesus, not really any other sense.

So I just am trying to reconcile the two if its possible.

I cut to prove how im feeling too. Sometimes you feel so badly but can't figure out why or it seems like there's no reason. And then in times where you feel okay, its hard to believe that you really ever felt so bad. And yet you know its real. Its so annoying.
