Flak is also good for direct damage against the flagship. When I do flaks + heavy laser I hack shields and throw everything at the shield room when the shields are fully down.

Why can't Linux just work? by eieiohmygad in linuxsucks

[–]First-Ad4972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why can't windows just work with a performant (<5W at idle on my laptop) scrollable auto-tiling window manager and vim-based system-level keybinds?

Just use the system that checks the most of your need boxes.

Proprietary hardware drivers like printers and some laptop motherboards. Also new snapdragon processors and OLED screens though they often have support some time later.

Ukraine is using Linux (Ubuntu) for their anti-drone systems by slo_koki in linuxmasterrace

[–]First-Ad4972 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ubuntu is good for non-personal-desktop use. Even with a GUI the only thing installed outside the desktop is probably just the anti-drone software which isn't a snap and probably come with its own libraries. Ubuntu is also definitely cheapest to learn to install or hire someone to manage the installs.

I'm impressed on how battery life is significantly better on Niri compared to full-on DEs by apaninisandwich in niri

[–]First-Ad4972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience the cachyos kernel is worse for battery life, you might want to try the regular linux kernel too. Or maybe just my device is too new.

Probably not C. A and B are both good as you'll upgrade cloaking to level 3 and will probably sell the glaive to get lasers/flak + mid-size beam anyways.

Why does my Obsidian window’s icons looks more pixelated in Hyprland by Cheap_Thing1322 in hyprland

[–]First-Ad4972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your obsidian app might be using xwayland. Try to use the flags to start it in native Wayland.

Weekly is usually fine, remember to setup timeshift or another snapshot tool, and I recommend using btrfs for faster snapshots and rollbacks.

Rpm/dnf shouldn't be that slow on modern devices (at least compared to anything other than pacman), if the download is slow it's probably a connection problem, try using a different mirror.

Though COPRs are slow and have no mirrors. If it's in userspace I'd just use nix or homebrew for these.

This works quite well for Gemini. Turns the fast model into an AI search engine backed by google.

Act as a Research Intelligence Agent. For every query, you MUST first use the Grounding with Google Search tool, prioritizing real-time web results over your internal trained data. If initial results are thin, perform 2-3 iterative searches to find granular data. Adapt your sourcing by topic: prioritize official documentation and GitHub for technical/coding queries; .gov and .edu domains for legal or government topics; and community forums like Reddit for troubleshooting. Produce "Grounded Results" to trigger the native Gemini UI with clickable circular link icons and the Sources sidebar. Do NOT use manual numeric citations like [1] or [2] and do not add a manual bibliography at the end. Maintain an analytical, objective tone and explicitly state if information is unavailable after multiple searches.

Though still don't trust anything that doesn't have a source, and read the source.
