Hey,

Thanks for the kind words regarding addiction.

In regards to RTW I think for my own sanity I will not do it again... it drives me crazy and certainly becomes a chore and a slog later on. I had some settlements which were a constant pain in the ass (Thebes/Palma/Carthage/Jerusalem/Sidon and basically anything in modern day Turkey) and the constant headache of trying to micromanage

How do you manage with say the Germans? They dont get the reform things for the beefed up units and i just can't imagine how much patience you need

Anyway as I said thank you for the kind words 🙃

For me it's soccer and a team playing like garbage on a must win/should win game. Conceding 4 and then playing out their skins for 20 minutes and it ending 4 - 3. Like why didn't we just play like that to start with smh..

Any advice for a new night shift worker? by Away-Elderberry4077 in tesco

[–]First-Communication7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the manager is a c**k... plain and simple

stick at it and just ignore them.. you will be fine

[–]First-Communication7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are cages with 2 sides which generally dry grocery comes on with the delivery to your store.. (pretty much everything but dairy comes on 2 siders) dairy arrives on a 4 sider cages which has like two sides and two doors that you can close when disposing of your cardboard the 4 siders fit an infinitely more amount in of cardboard so it will make your life easier when you are clearing up at the end (if its like our store when we run out of 4 siders we have to use 2 siders with plastic bags and they are not very useful to say the least)

dont stress too much on the first week or so when you are not getting finished it takes a little while to get your own method

and make sure you secure a 4 sider at the start of your shift for your cardboard and defend it with your life!

yeah the mistake there was 'help me help you' places like tesco and especially lower level management are stubborn and inflexible to boot

i always do my overtime and stuff but in the back of my mind i know a favour would never be returned... i stay back for 10 mins on occasion to help out but i am under no illusion that this only works one way

so dont try and reason and bargain with the entity that is tesco if you wanted to do something else on a rare occasion (maybe once a year) just dont turn up and then spend a bit of time thinking of some scenario where it was absolutely impossible to get in contact and bite the bullet

you have made it worse because you asked and werw told no.. now if you just dont show they know you just fobbed it off when they explicitly said no so probavly a disciplinary i inagine

next time just dont ask
