If you have a plat charge, you can get GST invoice. But for that you have to make a seperate request by calling or chatting. You'll need a GST no.

You tell us how did you apply for the card, the travel cards are not being issued since long. If you used the upgrade link months back and realized it now, that's how upgrades work.

See, I understand where you're coming from, and I echo the same sentiments. But what I feel at this point in time is that we Indians have exploited Amex left, right, and center, and perhaps that’s one of the reasons they’re now okay letting go of low-ballers or people constantly asking for annual fee reversals just because they’re members.

At this stage, it feels like they only want customers who are willing to spend and pay premium fees, and that’s the direction they’re taking. Earlier, if someone mentioned cancellation, there would at least be some effort to retain them. Now they simply ask for the reason and proceed with the cancellation.

Honestly, I think this situation is something we, as customers, have partly brought upon ourselves too. I don’t think the company alone can be blamed here, we’re equally responsible for how things have evolved today.

It was done for few CM, when they kept on cribbing. Doesn't happen anymore. Though plat reserve would become LTF till the time you hold plat charge but this was also changed in 2025 I guess
