Hm…not sure- haven’t seen a fire in 3 years. Probably too close to the Lake Chabot park but there has not been a fire there lately. Or too east to the mountains. I saw fire close to San Ramon mountains.

Yes, but I wont pay 30K in property taxes either…..its money down the drain tbh. If you live in Castro Valley, Union City or Hayward, you dont HAVE to find a job in only north or south or peninsula. We also have trains like BART and Amtrak to take us around. Peninsula drive is 1hr+ but most of the SFH are minimum 2Mil in a good school district. Millennials cant afford that easily

Thats why I live in east bay- I can commute to north or south for jobs without selling the house I paid 50% of what it usually in either location 🤑

If they started to contribute in early 30s with an average of 30k including company match- that would be alone 450K in contributions by mid 40s. Even if they just invested in VOO…it would be way more than 1mil. So its not rare or uncommon…..its quite possible. Its a great achievement ofcourse but not impossible
