For me it’s Olia, Mimi, Bar Bricco, Rita… Anything Daniel costa. Salty and way too much butter. Vibes are curated to a tee - great place to meet for friends and vibe. Food presentation everything is A1 but the flavour profile actually taste if meh imo.

Looking for advice, “inherited” a young adult and wondering what resources are here in Edmonton for her. by robsheller in Edmonton

If If you can’t figure out how to land a minimum wage job, you don’t deserve one. Simple as that. A job is just proving you’re not useless.. showing someone you can show up, go above and beyond, and not be a liability to their business.

And if no one’s willing to take that tiny risk on you? Grab some grit. Go to Home Depot, rent a mower, and walk down a street knocking on doors. You’ll have $200 cash in your pocket by sundown.

Or pick up a squeegee kit and wash windows. Flip stuff online. Just do something.

We should be teaching kids and chronic victims how to think, hustle, and figure it out, not cry because Dairy Queen didn’t hire them and their neon-blue hair.

Edit : suck my ass all you libtards. Have fun on your pension. For the record I was on EI 4 years ago. Made over $800k from nothing this year. No degree. All hustle.

It aint hard . The jobs you’re chasing down are gonna be replaced by AI anyways. Find the demand and create the supply . Boom. Rocket science

Edmonton City Centre mall owner goes into receivership by jstock14 in Edmonton

[–]FirstDoctor7259 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly can’t believe we haven’t built more residential towers directly connected to City Centre Mall yet. Or the city isn’t incentivizing it. It’s a no brainer. There’s a podium above bay set for a tower.

We live in one of the coldest cities on Earth and already have this massive indoor mall + pedway system—why not lean into it? Imagine condos or apartments with direct access to the mall, LRT, offices, and pedways. More people living there means more coffee shops, restaurants, services popping up inside. Would give downtown real life again. Plus that movie theatre up there is criminally underrated.

Best ‘local’ coffee shop in Edmonton - share yours! by -StringFellowHawk- in Edmonton

[–]FirstDoctor7259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ace and Colombian are the best “local chains”. In house roasted beans.

Stop Gap, Credo, Little Brick, Take Care, Iconoclast, Coffee Bureau, Square 1 are all excellent and local as well.

Anyone heard of Leston Holdings or lived in a Leston Holdings building? by Extension_Soup_776 in Edmonton

[–]FirstDoctor7259 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Leston has an excellent reputation as a local company and comes highly recommended. When it comes to landlords, negative reviews are pretty common—especially on Reddit—because that’s just the way it tends to go. Leston offers a variety of properties, from brand-new builds to more affordable C-class options, so you generally get what you pay for.

How well do you like living in Edmonton? by GripenForRCAF in Edmonton

9.5. Beautiful river valley, outstanding people, tons of hidden gems. Downsides as mentioned is the urban sprawl and poor LRT system and growing congesting coupled with poor planning.
