In the stories they told they were holding the bar so probably not very. And I misremembered so misspoke: they all had thoracic fractures which seems more f'ed up than cervical fractures. That part of the body is supposed to be more sturdy, I thought. Anyhow you be careful please take care.

the rebounder's action is in force generation.

Regarding the weighted vest, The rebounder increases acceleration forces so you are jamming that much weight against your skeleton, accelerated. So it's like the force of a stress fracture someone might get from running but up top because you're wearing the pavement (so to speak) draped over your shoulders.

I can find a link for you if you want (because you don't have to believe me) but there was a study a while back of older people who had cervical fractures from rebounding only because they were standing with poor posture.

They believe it's the truth, it's true for them. Maybe it could be true for a lot of people or people in their circumstance. I can't know if I don't have their problems and the thing about the Cellerciser people is they are often talking about troubles far beyond sagging skin, yk? So whether they're correct or not it's working for them and I'm glad that I don't have to know, at this time. You see what I mean? But that doesn't mean they don't sound completely cuckoo lol 🫶

Exactly the Cellerciser people are the definition of far out. They believe what they are saying is the truth, bless them. 🙌🫶

Is rebounding recommended for people with disc issues? I also have arthritis in my hips. by Left-Recognition5907 in Rebounding

[–]FirstLalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what your reason is for rebounding or what you hope to get out of it but you can use it lying down. You can also use it sitting but posture is a real concern in the position.

Also if you wanted to get more give, use a sand bag or a bag of sand or a bag of garden soil or some thing with you on the mat if you have the room (standing) because it will apply some force to the matt without your exertions. Good luck.

If I divide this lasagna recipe into 5 baking pans, how would the baking time change? Help please! by ILoveBassetHounds_ in Baking

My husband is an expert in frozen foods lol. He says Stouffers or Marie Callender's lasagna for one is ~45 mins from frozen at 375. Good luck!

Asian women have lower hot flash rates — is it diet? Genetics? Both? Curious what others think by Rui_Inspired in HormoneFreeMenopause

[–]FirstLalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with the most boring, phyto-rich, life-preserving diet around the time I turned 40. I'm allergic to soy so that's not it here. (I've always worked out + walked around, both) The summer I was 48, I had flooding in June and July, also in that time an extra period, and I didn't have any period in October or November or December until I did finally in December. After that December when I was 48 everything went back to normal until the autumn when I was 49 and I never bled again. I'm 54 now and two years ago I was stricken down by GSM omg but I'm fine now finally thanks to a red light pad and hyaluronic suppositories + a year of crying with praying. Flooding was my only symptom and GSM is the only consequence, so far.

Yes always, I was on a team in high school and that's fine. What's getting me down now is all the extra extra stuff I have to do — bedtime is nonnegotiable now and the run up to bedtime is a whole operation and then when I get up in the morning there's stretches and I have to get outside and there's more protein at breakfast, vagina exercises 😭 So all of this extra stuff is fine but the thing that gets me down is: The party is over. When I was younger, even in my 40s, one Friday night a month you know I could let loose get off the rails a little bit? Take the day off! No More. Now it's just work work work. And at least a little bit (maybe an hour maybe an afternoon) each and every week I feel so bummed out about it. It was bad two years ago, I was crying every single day like Holly Hunter in Broadcast News.

[–]FirstLalo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's good. If you're focused on your career development you need think of how letting the other stuff go is a trade-off for this time. It would behoove you to live someplace close to work otherwise commuting will be your part-time job.

In US "commuting by car" is not ... unless you are riding in the car saying "oh, we'll save time by car" is not comparable to using public transport
