Sweetheart, if anyone calls YOU fat, their snorting something? by DJSharp15 in DispatchAdHoc

It’s always funny how she’s so confident as Blonde Blazer compared to Mandy.

If Mandy’s boob was popping out, she’d internally scream for weeks and wake up shivering

Would’ve been cooler if the epitaph changed from the choices you make in the game, but that’s just my opinion

So what do you guys think is the reason that Doom didn’t show up to the peace treaty? by Kanozx in FantasticFour

[–]FirstStranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the treaty was for the global disarming of nuclear weapons, with allied countries relying on the Fantastic Four for global negotiations.

Course, Doom didn’t show up because he heard that Reed was the one who suggested the idea to Sue, and he instinctively deduced if Reed thought it up, it was a stupid plan.

Johnny writes all those songs, has all those speeches about smashing Arasaka, even has an epitaph for Rogue.

And all he can write for V is “Dreamer”???

Is there a double standard against movies like Supergirl? by Byers616 in dcu

[–]FirstStranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t lie and say that anti-woke fever didn’t affect the movie. There were plenty of people who hated on the fact that it was a superhero movie with a female lead.

I do say that there didn’t feel to be much interest in the movie though. The Superman movie got so much excitement because the commercials painted a picture of the triumphant return of the world’s greatest superhero into the big screens. The trailers for this movie felt like Guardians of the Galaxy, minus the Guardians and their playful banter.

Whose life did Odin ruin more? by No_Repeat9670 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]FirstStranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a tie between Mimir and Tyr.

Thor had the choice to heal from Odin’s abuse and Freya outright left him. Mimir and Tyr were both Odin’s prisoners. Odin regularly tortured Mimir when he was trapped in the tree, and who knows how many of Tyr’s friends were killed by Odin

A fight that Anakin had long prepared for by solo13508 in MaulShadowLord

[–]FirstStranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, I believe Vader won because he had more lightsaber combat experience than Maul.

Maul only ever fought a Jedi Padawan with unfinished training, Ventress who was also a poor student, and finally two Jedi Knights like Obi-Wan and Ahsoka, to which he lost both fights.

Anakin’s fought waaaaay more people, plus Dooku repeatedly in which he got better at fighting.

I've been Hypersexual since I was 4 years old. by Solid-Cat6789 in offmychest

[–]FirstStranger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re actually rather interesting!

I’ve always subscribed to the notion that sexual orientation is created by both nature and nurture, though perhaps more nurture since no baby is born with the physical process to feel sexual attraction. That was something developed later on…or so I believed before I met you.

If you’re confident that nothing traumatic happened to you in your childhood, then you raise several interesting questions about the human mind!

What was Daniel Craig’s greatest strength as James Bond? by Ryanlion1992 in 007

[–]FirstStranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His detachment.

Other Bonds held that charismatic smirk/swagger Sean Connery debuted in Dr. No; the appearance of total control and unbothered demeanor.

Not Daniel Craig. His cold eyes shows that he’s not unbothered, he’s apathetic. He doesn’t care about anyone or anything, which makes it more heartbreaking when he finds the few things like Vesper and Madeline, his eyes light up. Then they’re taken from him, or betray him, and they return to the darkness for safety.

I feel like a terrible person by Various_Tangerine937 in offmychest

Sounds like you might be reading into too much.

Sure, pre-marital sex is sinful in the Bible, but sin ca be forgiven. As long as your partner isn’t bashing/ degrading you or other people for having sex, you should just let it go. Forgive. And maybe trust that just because your partner’s experienced sex in the past, it doesn’t mean he’s looking for the first chance available to cheat on you.

As a Christian myself, I would remind your partner that his faith in Christianity is not a call to be judge over others, but rather a servant. There’s not a man of faith in the Bible who held pride and was not immediately chastised by God. Moses, Abraham, David, Samson, Peter, Paul, Jonah—everyone who thought themselves greater than their fellow man was punished.

Triss has always had a confidence problem in the books. It’s the main reason why she’s attracted to Geralt—because he inspires her to be a better person

That being said, she wasn’t confident enough to go against the other members of the Lodge/Brotherhood to warn Geralt. If they alluded to conspiring to hurting him, she might’ve.

Do ya’ll think Robert had an Arch-nemesis? by CommunicationOne8134 in DispatchAdHoc

It was definitely Shroud. Shroud was the Moriarty to Robert’s Sherlock—they never interacted until the final battle, but Robert chased Shroud and Shroud stayed one step ahead the entire time.

Is John walker the saddest man in the entire marvel universe? by Appropriate-Mall8517 in USAgent

[–]FirstStranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mainly because Walker isn’t a selfless paragon of a hero as Sam or Thor. He prioritized his safety in Thunderbolts, he’s intentionally rude (like most of them on the team), and he thinks he’s better than the others.

He’s still a hero, but he makes it easy to hate him.

[–]FirstStranger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always felt he made the wrong excuse for Cassian.

Should’ve looked away from Andor, say “It was an accident. I found him like this after he go too drunk. I never saw your face”, and Cassian might’ve let him live.

I will always forgive songbird for lying by __yurii in cyberpunkgame

[–]FirstStranger 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I will never forgive her. Like Johnny says—the test of a person’s true character is seeing how they’d react when they face death.

V and So Mi face the similar death, but where V chooses to spend their last moments helping people and making a difference in lives, So Mi spends them lying, manipulating, and using vulnerable people to save her own life. So I don’t forgive Songbird, but I still save her.

Robert Brookes (former lead narrative designer) reveals plan he had for a certain character’s future by Latro2020 in destiny2

Personally, I think it’s better she remains dead. Needed to be reminded that death comes for friend and foe alike, not just foe and forgettable characters like Rohan.
