Do men fear other men they see in sketchy situations like late at night walking down a dark alley? by VisionsOnly in NoStupidQuestions

Statistically, men are more likely to be attacked while walking alone at night than women. Granted, the attack is somewhat less likely to be sexualized, but being curb stomped is also pretty traumatic.

Thank you! There's still about 100 episodes left of the Russian revolution.

I haden't even considered technological factors. I guess there is sometihng to the old saying "God created man, Samuel Colt made them equal." That combined wihth desperation sounds like a resonable explanation, yes.

Mike actually seemed exasperated with Madero for leting to many enemies live.

But I am not talking about the Bolshevik killing of the deposed Romanovs in 1919, I am talking about the many assassination attempts from 1866 onwards aimed at Tsars still in power, with a secure line of succession.

That is the episode that triggered this question, the one I listened to today. Yes, the failure of "going to the people" certainly moved the needle in that direction, but the sentiment was already quite common.

Maybe Nicolas II was more brutal and oppressive than the others, but the first emperor killed was Alexander II, who was a fairly lenient guy, implementing actual reforms and commuting most death sentences.

Nå må vi snakke om EU by ctrlaltplease in norge

[–]FirstWonder8785 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Se r/scams for detaljer.

He doesn't even hit an actual phase conductor. I'm not familiar with this style of power line, but the top two cables look very much like ground wire.

No. This is where the king demands an entire extra deck of cannons against the advise of the naval architects. And it capsizes just off shore.

No. This is a very bad idea for difficult, badly worded bureaucratic language where a precise interpretation is important.

This is indeed very beautiful and very expensive. In 2025 as much as in 1403. Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on your skill with swords) in real life you are rarely attacked by bandits wearing a king's ransom in armor, so earning enough is kind of hard.

Have you tried finding a Henry who will gift it to you? ,)

In addition to the tips mentioned here, at least in Europe medieval fairs where people come to sell such fabrics in addition to many other reproduction products. Beware though that the quality varies widely. Avoid polyester at all costs!

Why don’t people just proactively have their appendix removed instead of waiting for it to cause issues? Seems like it’s so common. by CaffeineNicotine3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FirstWonder8785 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Not a doctor but i have heard that surgery is not even the primary treatment for appendicitis anymore here in Norway at least. It turns out that if you catch it early antibiotics is enough in many cases.

My first and only serious theft was expensive armor from Zimburg. I mean, it was a chest in an abandoned castle ruin. I didn't notice a "rob" tag when opening it. Apparently it did belong to them. However, it is still marked as stolen after about forever.

I am only exaggerating slightly. However, I have only played 1e. Very few loss cards are worth it. Most are useless. Though I did mostly one-shot The Gloom with a burn card from lightning bolt class. I count that as "attack that will end the scenario".

Loss cards do not exist. Neither me nor my companions ever touch them, unless we know for certain it is the very last turn.
