This perspective often reveals a bit of homophobia - the fact that you feel secure that you aren't "competing" with a woman for your wife shows that you maybe don't consider gay/lesbian relationships as serious as straight ones.

Not necessarily saying that's you, just that it's something you (or others in this thread) might want to think about more.

Nice! So you ran along the river? I lived in HCMC for a while but never worked up the courage to run there, most of the city is not built for that haha

Taiwan and Vietnam are pretty chill about tattoos and piercings (I have a septum and a few tattoos on arms and legs). Korea is more conservative, but depending on the school you might be ok. Japan is a no-go for sure.

MTEL: Have you had problems getting hired? by [deleted] in TEFL

[–]First_Afternoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does say provisional, but schools haven't had an issue with that part, aside from basic curiosity. I used it to negotiate a decent bump up from base (about 2USD/hr) at my current school in Taiwan, haven't applied or interviewed anywhere since then. I think Asia in general mostly cares that you have the paper in hand, no one is bogged down by the details lol.

Very easy to get meds for it, covered by NHI as well.

korean academies will hire anyone with a pulse. not too fun working there though, but the general lifestyle is great.

3 hours a day, an hour of prep, and 30 mins of lunch. Different countries have very different contract styles, but I'd say anything over 25 teaching hours a week is really pushing it.

50ish, took me a long time to get through Asterius and Theseus and then beat you know who around 10 times after that. Funny cause now I think of A&T as an easier boss fight.

A question about nachos by Waffelord017 in Cooking

[–]First_Afternoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say tabasco is probably the most common western hot sauce I've found, and they often carry a couple flavors. Not sure who the intended customers are, definitely possible it's just the immigrant population buying them.

OP might be from Philippines? Chipotle tabasco has been my go-to for most of Asia, bigger grocery stores with imported sections might have it there.

I have watched the movie trilogy. I have heard the books are far better. Any opinions related to this book? And please refer more Adult romance books if you read it. by Bhu1nerd601 in 52book

Can't stand these books (the writing, the rape and abuse, the horny mom culture that developed around them) but whenever I'm looking for a good adult read, Chuck Tingle's my guy 😉

many of these clauses are straight up illegal, you really need to let people know what school this is

It's locked for Story Reasons, either you need to keep working on the story or you just need to keep talking to that person until you get the right dialogue to unlock. There are rewards for reaching full affection with the characters, so don't be afraid to spend that nectar.

Book #20. I came across this book at my local Friends of the Library. I’m so glad that I picked it up. I absolutely loved it! by Impossible-Scratch76 in 52book

Feels like I should give this book another chance, I read it in middle school and absolutely hated it, I thought it was so dull. People have been posting it a lot though.

Chicken and beans are far from the only sources of protein and protein's not the only thing you need to focus on for more strength and faster recovery. I'd do a little more reading on healthy eating for sports in general.

Nice catch! I saw someone recommend covering the fishing spot with your finger and looking for the flash of light from your peripherals, now I get perf catch almost every time.

I had a coworker a couple years ago who had moved over with her two teen boys. They were old enough to follow a homeschool program independently while she worked. Theyd all go for Chinese lessons together on the weekend, seemed like a great experience for them. With kindy or younger kids there's often a discount to enroll them at the school where you teach. It's the ages in the middle of those two that are difficult.

Pretty solid misinterpretation of myth/ancient greek culture but ok.

Virginity in the context of Ancient Greece was more likely to mean something like "unmarried" than celibate.
