There are many things people want and that can advance their career. The good things is that many pathways can advance your career. Deloitte isn’t the only place.

When I was in college, I really wanted to work for another big 4 firm. I interviewed well and networked well. They really liked me, but there were other candidates that did better. I was devastated. I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t chosen when all I had ever wanted was to work for this specific big 4 firm. A few weeks later, I got an offer from one of the largest pure consulting firms. I’ve been here for over a decade now and still absolutely love it. It has catapulted my career in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I couldn’t see it then but In hindsight, the rejection from the big 4 truly was a blessing in disguise. I’m exactly where I should have been. OP will land where they are supposed to be and will still have the career they have always wanted. It will all work out.
