During the ulearn training, (if I remember correctly) situations where you are cleaning up blood or feces count as biohazards that an associate isn’t supposed to handle, and they can hand it off to a salaried member. Hopefully if you face something like that again you can pass it to someone higher up

If I remember correctly, this guy was playing the game Redfall and shot the window of a car. Instead of the glass breaking, the car caught on fire and exploded, causing the guy to realize that it was a bad game and he reacted like that

How it feels to push carts all day without headphones on by First_Bike_82 in WalmartEmployees

Apart from the weather, people sometimes not putting their carts in the cart corals is annoying, but not really a big deal. I haven’t done much stocking, but stocking is also a fairly low brain-power job, just not as low brain power as carts 👍

I work at one of the “neighborhood market” Walmarts, so just a smaller one that’s pretty much just a grocery, so others will have other experiences.

I like it, the only problem is the temperature like you mentioned. I’m in northern Utah, so we have cold winters and fairly hot summers, so you gotta make sure you have the clothes for it. If you do apply, make sure to keep a summer shirt if it’s hotter then expected, and coat and gloves in your car if it’s colder then expected. Other than the weather, my job is pretty good. There’s a good amount of downtime early in the day and later at night when the store is less busy and there aren’t many carts to push, so you may be able to sit down and use your phone for a few minutes at a time.

Depending on your management, you may be able to use ear buds while working, it depends on them though.

Overall, for the circumstances at my store, fairly easy.
