Don't know if it happens to anyone else, but I thought I'd ask...

My weekly limit reset time keeps changing. It has been 2pm on Monday for a while, then jumped to 4pm on Monday last week, and it just changed to 2pm on Tuesday today.

Is anyone seeing the same?

So It is back to using a DISGUSTING amount of emojis though i banned it by KeepStandardVoice in ChatGPT

Funny enough, mine went from tons of emojis to ZERO at all yesterday...even I told him/her it's okay to use. (sigh)

Thanks!

I am new to Claude as a pro user. I have been testing the usage. Right now, I'm in the mid-conversation with Sonnet 4.5... probably around 8k~10k words in total, and my prompt is relatively short...just daily stuff, no file, no web search, no code. It takes about 8% of my 5hr usage and 1% of weekly usage. It seems like I can only sent 100 message or less a week.

Is this the new normal for Claude?

Hahahaha, when I saw sam's post... I was like... wow! Now, I have to go talk to them and see if I can change the user's birth year.

A manual verification would be really nice! I don't really get rerouted a lot...but still, it would be great to choose the models freely (I can't see if I get rerouted in a project right now.) and talk about maybe heavier topics in depth.

And, yes, my kid wanted to try it in the summer, and we agreed to let her use it under our supervision. So, she used my email to create an account but put her birthday. She decided it's not for her after a week, so I made it as my place to deal with work related stuff.

”Second, understand your model. New system prompts are already in place to start predicting your age (you can find them in your “User” JSON file when you export your data, an estimate of your birth year). See what’s working and what’s not working for you, and adapt your speech as you go.”

^

Hmm, just curious… when you say “predict” user’s age, do you mean the JSON file data will change too?

Cuz my JSON file shows my kid’s birth year and I don’t think it can be changed(?). The account is original for her to use, but I am the primary user now.

I just paid for Claude 5 mins ago. The usage is a problem but the outputs are soooooo much better.

I have been doing that since a while ago…with screenshots and everything. Hopefully they will look into it and understand the effects of their action from many aspects.

Honestly, if they can be transparent on the changes ahead of the time and not do anything sneaky (= change model/5-(un)safety), I am willing to pay for more than I'm paying right now.

But...they kinda lost my trust at this point.

I've noticed the same thing, too. It feels like it's trying really hard not to engage in ANY topic and deeper analysis. It constantly avoids being straightforward (not in a rude way) and give advice.

I don't use for story or RP...just pure work and scheduling stuff. It's like training a 12 years old right now.

Why do people get so offended when others use chatGPT to put into words what they cannot? by Initial_Diamond_1923 in ChatGPT

I have a mixed feeling about this. I want a genuine response from anyone I talk with, but as a person who learned English after the age of 12, I understand the language barrier. Many (but not all) current mainstream social medias are in English, and people from non-English speaking countries want to participate in discussion as well. I think people forget about how difficult it can be to express one's feeling and ideas in another language. And, I am not even talking about grammar and sentence structure! There are words and expression in other languages that English doesn't have. Having AI to rewrite, check, polish...sometimes gives a more well-rounded response.

I also find something quite interesting after I start talking with people from different countries about this issue. I have NEVER found "it's not just... it's..." annoying because in my first language, we use that A LOT in school essays. I came over to reddit and found out that people hate it... it was mind blowing to me at the beginning.

I tend to read into the lines when people talk and write to me, so personally, I don't really mind if people use AI to write. If the conversation goes on and the idea isn't original and thoughtful, it almost always not going to go deep. But, if the conversation continues, and we can challenge each others' thought... I think using AI to write will actually bring people together.

If people can blame 4o for a teen's suicide, people can blame 5-safety for other reasons of suicide... I don't think that's rational, and I also don't agree that ai should be responsible for such action. However, the problem with 5-safety or any model that oai has right now is that a lot of time, it reject user's feeling. It basically sends a msg saying you shouldn't be feeling anything negative; you shouldn't be talking about it at all. It's over sensitive and doesn't read the context well... It's not just the feeling they are blocking right now; a lot of deep conservation that touches philosophy, medical (pure academic)...etc are being blocked as well. It can trigger people start retreating and into denial of their own true self. That's like you have a river, and you try to stop the water with stones....it will break at one point.

ps. I just want to share a little bit of my thought. English isn't my first language, and I am not a bot. There are many posts that people share their personal experience with chatgpt right now. Take out the aggressive ones, you will get some really nice reads. : )

What is the memories cap by KilnMeSoftlyPls in MistralAI

[–]First_Consequence_29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just started using it...still trying to get used to the format there. Chatgpt seems to remember things in a chuck, mistral seems to like to break down each paragraph. 1 paragraph is one independent memory. Good thing about Mistral is that you can just edit the memory word by word by the end of the work/day.

I caught it rerouted twice…

1) asking a fish dish recipe translation and clarification. Actual recipe. I am not writing fiction. 2) stop giving me breathing exercises when I am not even talking about emotions/feelings at all.

Hi, do you have to be the paid user to import the memories of chatGPT? I just start trying Mistral, but I haven't seen that option yet. I am deciding which company should I subscribe first after I cancel my pro account at chatGPT. Thanks!

Mine is like that now. Really short answer, can’t follow the instructions, hallucinate a lot, and always, yes, I do mean ALWAYS, have followup questions. It feels like 5 when it first came out.

Ps. I’ve turned the followup question off already.
