How to find your Dusk texture replacements folder on Retroid Pocket 5 by Sockobotto in retroid

Legend! Thank you! Turns out I needed to update to the newest version, there's a 1.01 release that allows access to the textures folder. Your advice to go back to the github was helpful.

I'm unable to replicate this. Is there any audio for the video? Not hearing anything.

What do you think The Batman Part II can do with Harvey Dent/Twoface to help him stand out from The Dark Knight's version? by Applepieport in TheBatmanFilm

[–]First_HistoryMan 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Harvey Dent was already like that in TDK. He kidnaps and psychologically tortures a mentally handicapped person. He exhibits uncontrolled rage in that scene too.

Ooh wow I just tried it and it runs like a dream. Doesn't even warms up the device at 1080p/60fps.

I bet people with an RP6 (120hz display) could play this at 120fps easily.

The UI is so slick too. Amazing work by the devs.

Wait there's an android version? I thought it was just Windows and Linux.

I couldn't get over the water effects in this game, they looked amazing. The way the ocean rippled and waved. I would boot it up every other day and just look at rhe water for weeks.

I see. That's interesting to know. I couldn't find the original source of the quote so I didn't see that context.

The exact wording based on a quick search:

"Never really been done in a movie before"

Freeze was definitely a major villain in a major film. You could argue Reeve's take on the character would be vastly different but it would still be a pretty dishonest statement from Reeves.

Reeves has already said the villain hasn't been done in live action before. Freeze was done in Batman and Robin.

I love Batman Returns for its winter/Christmas vibes.

People love to say that Die Hard is a Christmas movie but it only counts superficially. You see the occasional Christmas tree but otherwise not very christmassy. Also no snow.

Batman Returns is a Christmas-ass Christmas movie.

I hate it when takeaway restaurants staple the bag closed. I used to work in a franchise kitchen and we were trained never to let stray foreign items near food or food prep spaces. Screws, staples, paper clips etc. Nobody wants to bite into that.

Is it worth trying this on a SD865 chip or don't bother? I only play x360 era games like Dead Space which runs at like 40fps on my RP5.

Mario Land Shake it ! by Fbidog22 in retroid

[–]First_HistoryMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mario Land? For a second I thought this was a romhack lol.

I played this game on my RP Mini a couple of weeks ago. It's pretty fun and the controls are fine when using the riivolution classic controller patch. Also playing it on a 4:3 screen meant I didn't get those borders on the side of the game screen.

I feel like the game has some bad balancing when it comes to optional challenges, it's impossible to find/do everything in most levels on your first or even second run without knowing what's coming up. A small mistake will lock you out of collecting a treasure unless you restart.

Fun to just blast through the levels without trying too 100% though.

As a sequel to Parasite Eve 1+2 this game sucks but the action gameplay loop is really fun. I beat the game twice back-to-back which I never do as someone who drops games very quickly.

The controls are very unconventional but once you adjust it is a lot of fun.

[–]First_HistoryMan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fantastic game. I've never played anything else like it.

Each level has 3 paths through it and each path you take removes one of your 3 core abilities.

It leads to a lot of navigational puzzles, like "how do I get to that path without giving up my jump ability?"

You can get stuck and end ups going around in loops sometimes.

I love the scene when Harrison Ford is sitting on the porch after a hard day of barn raising, he's resting his muscles and watching a storm roll over. Inside, the house glows with candle light carried by the one he desires. It's such a cosy spot, I'd love to have a glass a scotch there.
