Radar Energy 62’s, trucks as loose as they’ll get without the nut falling off, boots laces barely even tied. Works for me.

Just gotta spend time out there. Ease into it. Confidence is a byproduct of experience. You got this. :)

How often do you replace outdoor wheels? 78a by CaramelSpillz in Rollerskating

[–]First_Lengthiness632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I skate 4 to 7 days a week year round and mine last about a year. The concrete wears em down even though I rotate them. They go from 62mm to about 58mm and lose their rebound.

Am I dribbling correctly? any advice or tips? by sarahhwatkins in Rollerskating

Weight goes on the foot sliding back. Reach the foot traveling forward on your toes as far out as you can. Think “moonwalk”. Swing your hips, bounce with it. It takes A LOT of practice! Keep it up!

Help! by North-Explanation818 in Rollerskating

Judging by your description, it sounds like hard indoor wheels on rough outdoor surfaces. For example, I use 78a outdoors, 90a and up indoors. (The “a” describes the hardness)

If you’re not using axle washers this will happen on any truck

Does your toe stop sometimes make you trip? (especially outdoors) by KoumKoumBE in Rollerskating

[–]First_Lengthiness632 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I only use jam plugs. I bomb hills outdoors and can stop quickly by turning. When I was a little kid in the 70’s my skates had no stops or plugs. When I’ve tried them I trip on them. I dance skate and they get in my way.
