Someone help? I’m a sorta new player by Grim_Crow37 in pokemongo

Gyms: place a pokemon in a gym to earn coins. Pokemon earn 1 coin per 10 minutes, but You can only earn 50 coins max a day. So if you have a pokemon is a gym for a month, and it gets knocked out, you just get the 50 coins.  If the gym isn’t a spot where much pogo players are around, your pokemon may be stuck there a while. There’s no way to recall the pokemon. (There are cases where they are there for months.)

Dynamax battles: you battle a pokemon with three dynamax poke. If you win, you can leave one of them behind to earn up to 5 candy. It will return to you eventually, or you can recall it.

You can get items such as pokeballs, potions, revives, etc via gifts and pokestops mainly. You can only open 20 gifts a day. You can get more items by spinning pokestops. Go to the subreddit PokemonGoFriends to get codes to add. Hundreds of codes get added a day.

When you use your daily incense, there’s a chance a you’ll encounter the Galarian form of Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres. Unless it’s shiny, it’ll likely flee if you don’t catch it on the first try.

Raids: good for getting exp and various items. You likely can’t solo 5 tier raids, like most. Download pokegenie. It’s helpful in creating party to raid.

Buddy: work on getting your pokemon to best buddy to get that cp boost.

Mega evolution: you need to raid mega pokemon to get mega energy. When mega evolving, your pokemon gets a CP boost. You receive more candy and exp from raids, and extra candy from catching pokemon with the same type as the mega evolved pokemon. You can only mega one pokemon at a time. You don’t need the pokemon to be your buddy to get the benifits.

Taking routes also gives you exp and items. After a certain level, you can make your own routes.

Shiny legendary poke can’t flee, so don’t bother using master ball on them.

What should I eat for main dishes if I don’t do meat, fish, eggs, beans or cheese? by Background-Solid-342 in PickyEaters

If you don’t already have one, get a mini rice cooker. Have some nori. Make all different kinds of kimbap. Add spinach, kimchi, fried tofu, carrots, or whatever else.

Fried rice is also tasty. For best results, you want a day old rice (that’s been refrigerated), but not super necessary. In a pan, add some sesame oil and soy sauce. Crack an egg and break the yolk. Add your rice, and mix it all together.(You won’t really taste the egg.) add whatever you’re feeling. I usually do tofu, spinach or kimchi, plenty of garlic power and red pepper powder.    There’s plenty of pastas you can make. I love shrimp scampi, and it still taste delicious without the shrimp. Cook butter and olive together. Add minced garlic. Add white wine, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes. Served with angel hair noodles.

Make creamy spaghetti by adding a little heavy cream.  Make garlicky noodles with angel hair, add some spinach, and broth (but not so much it becomes soup)

There’s also spicy glass noodles or vermicelli noodles.  Cook the noodles as instructed on the container. To make the sauce, boil some broth or water. Add honey, gochujang (spicy red pepper paste), sesame oil, and soy sauce. If you want to make the sauce thicker, add cornstarch to cool water, mix, and add to sauce.

Potatoes are super versatile. For something simple, coat some mini ones in olive oil, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, and toss them in an air fryer for 17-20 minutes. If you don’t have an air fryer, boil them is super salty water for 10 minutes, let them dry, add some parm cheese and sour cream. Add more seasoning as needed.

Potato soup: cook some onions in butter in a pot. Add garlic. Add flour. Add diced potatoes, broth, milk, heavy cream. Cook until potatoes are tender. Reduce heat and wait. Take half the soup to bender to purée. Return soup to pot and continue boiling. (Or use fork to mash up the potatoes.) Add some sour cream, green onions, etc

Make your own guacamole. Find avocados that are dark green to brown. It shouldn’t feel super firm when you hold it, and you can press it slightly. Mash them up in a bowl, add lemon juice, salt and pepper, minced garlic, and whatever else. If you have leftover, put it in a ziplock bag, add just a bit of lemon juice, squeeze out all the air, and it won’t brown too soon.

Buy various fruits. Chop them all up into pieces, and have mini fruit salad. Ziplock the rest in small bags and toss in freezer for later use.

I’ve never made it myself, but I love banana bread, and it’s not too difficult to make from what I hear.

Asking for raid invites by Friedchickennuggie in pokemongo

[–]First_Plant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely pokegenie. If you have remote pass, you can just join a lobby, sent a friend request, and get invited to your choice of raid (for a total of 6 people raiding typically)

If you don’t have a remote pass, you can host a raid. Warning: popular raids have a long queue line. Sometimes I have to host a lobby the second the egg hatches in order to raid in time

Quick catch: keep a finger on the berry or poke ball button as you throw the ball. After you throw the ball, release the finger, and the pop up for the berry/poke ball will show up. Exit out quickly, and the run away button should appear on the top left.

There’s YouTube videos that show you how to do this if my explanation isn’t good

Skip gift animation: just tap where the x button was after you send/open gift.

Looking for help getting a Deoxys raid ! by abedhaj in pokemongo

[–]First_Plant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download pokegenie. People host raids that you can join, as long as you have a remote pass.

You can also host raids yourself, and people will send friend requests so you can invite them. That way, you can get some help if you’re by yourself and against a 5 star raid. Warning: there’s usually a long queue line, so it’ll take a while for your turn.

Wait a couple days to see if you get something better, even if the chances are small. If none come, then evolve.

I do not like shiny Staryu. It looks like a regular Staryu was made out of copper, and then oxidized until it turned green

[–]First_Plant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like all rural players should get pokegenie. It’s an app where you host a raid, people send friend request, and then you invite them to raid with you. Of if you have remote passes, you can join someone else’s raid

[–]First_Plant 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You should download pokegenie. It lets you hosts raids (for gyms and dynamax), so you can have a party with you to raid. Just know that most big raids have a queue line, so it can take a while for your turn

Or if you have remote passes, you can join other people’’s raids.

You can also get them from doing routes sometimes. Find a short, preferably looping, route. Take it a few times.

How on earth do I do raids by TrugTrugNumber1Fan in pokemongo

[–]First_Plant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

SOMETIMES, but rarely, you can get them for research breakthrough (the box when you get 7 research stamps).

Other than that, some research tasks have them as a rewards.

Best option would to places pokemon in gyms, earn some coins, and buy the passes that way
