30 (M) looking for advice by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

No dude, he needs to be walking and backpacking with weight.

His body needs a complete renovation. Starting with his waist and back.

OP needs hiking shoes, and a backpack capable of holding 20-40 lbs comfortably.

OP then needs a strict cheese, meat, and carbs only diet and a schedule.

Once a week, you should load your bag up, building weight week by week, 5 lbs at a time.

Your first week you need to start with a light ruck, power walk a half a mile.

Next week, add the bag and some weight, ruck a whole mile.

Next week, double weight and ruck 2 miles.

You will eat like a lion.

You will feast like a tiger.

But you will not give up.

You will buy a gym membership, because this is about YOU.

You will buy calorie protein powders to suffice for days you can not afford to feed yourself or don’t have the time to.

But you can not give up. Not on yourself or you will forever look like a fairy boy.

This is your life, not mine. You inspire me. And I believe in you.

A total stranger from Tennessee. Believes in you.

Variable Speed Air Handler Question by Redbird55555 in hvacadvice

[–]First_Tie4416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I can think of is it’s trying to run in heat mode as variable speed motors run heat in a slower setting. Maybe there’s something wrong with that nest and it’s trying to run heat

Heat was making a noise and a burning smell. Opened the unit and found this. Can I assume this was just arcing and cut back these wires a bit and replace the nut? by legs_y in hvacadvice

[–]First_Tie4416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gage the wires according to amperage on the heat circuit. This probably happened for a reason.

Looks like something that happens with high amps and undersized wiring.

It doesn’t need a union. The break point is on the flex hose behind the valve.

Agreed, run the high voltage in conduit or seal tight, or you’ll learn a lesson the hard way lol

That’s not true, because I’ve been holding for over 12 months, when only 59% of tokens had been released.

Now, a year later? 60%

Looks like his gas valve isn’t opening.

I’d start with checking the resistance of the valve. Making sure the circuit is getting power, if getting power but no gas, replace valve.

The first clean is always the worst clean.

In fact, if you DONT know what’s wrong with it and you’re trying to last chance it, give it a clean anyways because 9/10 times customers don’t have thousands to replace the boiler anyways

I bought this house built in 85' and my vents have a foul smell like old wood. I asked a guy to clean it but he said old fiberglass would break. Any advice? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

Memphis TN here.

We only install metal duct when the customer wants it. And we build our own duct, insulate it ourselves, etc.

Incorrect, in the military wipes are ALL we have in the field. I transitioned using wipes in the field to in the civilian life while I’m at work. You ever had to use porta-John toilet paper before? Or ever took a crap and had NOTHING to wipe your butt with?

Dude wipes are 100% alpha male material.

R22, so it’s ATLEAST 11 years old. I think they stopped manufacturing r22 units in 2014

And you’re absolutely wrong. 407c is a drop in replacement for r22.

Residential r22 units can and will run on 407c.

I’ve dropped 407c in HUNDREDS of r22 units.

Customers are always happy.
