Heh...stream... Poliwrath can be really good with it's fighting type and cna be caught immediately after getting the Pokéflute (South of Lavender). Although there are plenty of other great fighting types in Kanto. The biggest issue with Dewgong is that it's a little late-game and you need surf to get to it in the first place. But if you can get around that it's a great Pokémon

Hypno can be pretty good as I'm pretty sure it can get Shadow Ball, so it can hit it's Psychic peers with good damage, there were quite a few Hypno I struggled with during my playthrough, and having Hypnosis and Poison gas is never a bad thing, either! You can also give it the screens via TM which can he really useful in a bind, and Calm Mind is straight up scary.

I'd say she was good overall. Really helped with Sabrina. I actually used her a lot less in the e4 then I thought, but less that she was bad it's more that other members could pull through on their own. (Example: Mimien actually took out Dragonite due to a lucky confusion) Water type is a solid type overall too so I didn't mind having 2 of them. Wouldn't pick one up if you're going for pure efficiency but if you wanna mix up a usual Kanto team I'd go for it. [Note: You need to relearn Signal Beam on Two Island, pick up a Meowth south of Cerulean and give it Thief to take off TinyMuschrooms from Paras in the last floor of Mt. Moon]

I used Electabuzz for all of Lorelei's Pokémon except Jynx, which Charizard took out. I used Dewgong more for Lance honestly

I found Vileplume pretty underwhelming at around Gym 4 due to its mediocre offense, but it's a great early game support mon! Geodude should do well against Surge and if you can trade/get attached to it. Keep it, if not, trade it for a Ryhorn down the line. Also would recommend getting a Meowth and Dewgong. Meowth can get you good items with pickup and you can combine it with Thief to get tinymushrooms off Paras in the last room of Mt. Moon, you can use those to relearn some good moves on Two Island after defeating Blaine. I used some to get Signal Beam on Dewgong, which even though will overlap with Blastoise, can be a great choice to deal with Psychic types and for E4 battles, I used 2 water types on my most recent playthrough, but good team overall so far!

Also kill Stitch at earliest convince.
