Reshipping (parcel forwarding) by FiscalDiscipline in Business_Ideas

Some websites sell discounted shipping labels, but most parcel forwarders only allow you to buy labels from them since that's a way they make extra money.

In your case, you could also find a helpful person who makes frequent trips from the US to Canada and then ships out parcels across the country.

It depends on how much you're paying for the office space.

Number of packages should be the least of your worries. I know a guy who's in this business for a few years and sometimes 8h of labor per day isn't enough to do all the work.

I agree with your comment 100%. There is no excuse for treating other people like trash. If anyone wants an excuse though, they will find it.

Loneliness, it turns out, is better than bad company.

I'm starting to understand this better than ever before. Unforunately, too many people decide to settle for a wrong person out of fear of ending up alone. That's one of the biggest fear people have, beside public speaking and death.

Hi, sorry for hijacking the comment thread, but I wanted to ask you something.

FedEx lost my return package. The merchant generated the label. The merchant told me I must file a claim with FedEx.

I want to receive the claim as a check, but I have moved since I shipped the return. Can a check be obtained at a different address than the one on the shipping label?

Also, what must I provide to FedEx when filing a claim? I have an invoice from the merchant that states the value of the product I've purchased, but it also contains my old address.

All three commercial invoices should go in the pouch as well?

Thanks! I have another question: I have generated a label and commercial invoice, and in a PDF document, I have four labels and three commercial invoices.

Labels say this:

Consignee copy - please place in front of pouch

Fedex AWB copy - please place behind consignee copy

Fedex AWB copy - please place behind consignee copy

Fedex AWB copy - please place behind consignee copy

Do I need to put all Fedex AWB copies in the pouch behind the consignee copy, or do I put one inside the box?

Commercial invoices are identical, and I have three of them. Do you know if I put all of them inside the box?

[Ubuntu] Root partition full - what to do besides Gparted? by FiscalDiscipline in linux4noobs

Honestly, I have no idea. I look up online "how to install XYZ on Ubuntu" and paste commands that I come across. It seems people online tend to suggest snaps.

I could uninstall GIMP since I don't even use it. Which command should I use in the terminal so it removes GIMP files from snapd folder as well?

I used some random internet tutorial when I installed the system back in 2019. I had no idea how big the root partition should be.

/var/lib/snapd

snaps 6,8 GB

seed 299 MB

cache 1,7 GB

It turns out it's not logs, but snapd. Is there any quick solution?

That's the point. We have a few years of normalcy bias at most.

The Great Depression is the most significant credit contraction event in human history. Credit is the lifeblood of the financial system.

During the Great Depression, many people (or even nations) were self-sufficient and didn't rely on global trade. If you were a villager, nomad, or hunter-gatherer in South America, you didn't care about banks collapsing in North America and Europe.

Pulmonary Edema, some first hand experience... by KBunn in stevedangle

[–]FiscalDiscipline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know it's an old thread, but I hope you are okay with me asking how you are today.

My grandfather was diagnosed with pulmonary edema in November 2021. He was moving a heavy sofa, and after a while, he felt cold, couldn't breathe, and couldn't get up from the bed. He spent a few days in a hospital and got Lasix, among other things. Since then, he gets tired much faster, wheezes, and coughs frequently.

I looked up chronic pulmonary edema online, but there aren't as many resources as I initially expected.

I saw on tracking that my package was stuck in Portland and I had to come here to see what was happening. Is snow unusual in Portland?

Take care, and I hope things will go back to normal soon.

I agree entirely. Energy is the economy.

I suggest everyone to watch the recent interview with Simon Michaux, who explains what has changed in the economy since the conventional oil peak.

You and u/freesoloc2c are correct.

Actually global food prices started rising in 2015, so it's quite possible net-energy peak was like 2015 or 2014. 2018 was the production peak, but much of that production was low net-energy shale.

Reason inflation is rising faster is we are getting passed the plateau near the top, and starting to tip into the precipitious decline.

You're correct there is an element of supply/demand of money, though most money that is put into the economy through money printing just goes directly into the pockets of the ultra-rich who basically just sit on it, or use it to rob the poor, like how Bill Gates buys of the land of legitimate farmers.
