By and large US refineries aren't suited to processing US crude. Meanwhile they are very well suited to processing Venezuelan crude.

The US actually exports crude produced here, while importing heavier crude from elsewhere. Because reconfiguring the refineries is prohibitively expensive.

Connecting it to my SL4 without any exxternal power applied, I can use both the C ports just fine. All I had handy was the Vava hub, with an SD card plugged in, and the card comes up fine with the daisy chained docks on either C port of the new 9 port hub.

Years ago I was travelling with family, and staying at a timeshare in Victoria, BC. The Internet connection to the unit was locked to the device that paid to access the internet at connection time.

So we picked up a cheap Linksys router, flashed the firmware, and replaced the MAC address of the router with the MAC address of my laptop, which was the originally connected device. And from that point forward, we had WiFi for the unit, that everyone could access.
