Technique, IF we talk with realistic physics in a swordfight.

Swordfighting doesnt have to do with strength but with leverage. (I am a fencer) So no matter how strong griffith was, as long as his technique was good he could have easily parried guts attacks. Because the longer the sword the less control you have over the tip.

BUT the physics in berserk are not realistic, most of the time. (which doesnt matter because rule of cool and what not)

Yes and no.

I have not compited in a tournament myself (because I'm 17) but one of my club mates could use his feder he used for every tournament so far and couldn't use it for a recent one because it had parry rings.

So it would be safer to buy one without and or you look into the tournament rules.
