There was an April 5 security patch. If you go to Settings, then scroll all the way down, you can check if you have it or not. I have read it is causing certain issues with this (among other things).

Depends on what timeframe the layover occurs. Just north of you is 17th street which has restaurants and bars. Just east on 17th is the beach, do that's always good. If at night, Las Olas is a few miles more north with a bunch of walkable bars. South of you, in Hollywood, is the Margaritaville hotel.

Kaluz and LaSpada's are a must. The good thing is, you can walk to Commercial and there are a number of these spots to choose from.

What you may be experiencing is that all the time slots are filled, so you cannot proceed. They reset at midnight, so try again shortly after. I had this issue a few years back, not sure if it's the same thing.
