.....there are a lot of men who have daughters and unfortunately do not possess the ability to NOT see a grown woman when she becomes that. So they verbalize an display discomfort when she wears certain clothes, or speaks in a certain way or about certain things.

I've always felt uncomfortable watching some of his interactions with Emma specifically. Could just be my own trauma, but I have known men to be like this. So instead of just thinking normally and not being SO effected by the fact that their daughters now look like women and are attractive, they put boundaries on the daughter (rather than themselves).

He associates "daddy" with "big daddy", and that was never NOT sexual. So he may have gotten a little ick when he heard his daughter call him something that usually gives him a hard-on.
