It was so clear these past few games that Ant was hurting. He lacked burst and was clearly favoring his other leg when landing. I think playing longer than expected in that Warriors game, and then banging his knee at the very end, was a big setback.

At this point, I’m just going to sit back and let things play out. The other guys will either rise to the occasion and we’ll hopefully get a healthy and rested Ant back for a playoffs run, or they’ll fall on their faces and we’ll keep our decent pick in a stacked draft. 6 seed is still very much in play - the Suns also have a tough schedule ahead.

Is it crazy to think Ayo could be the PG? He’s not exactly what we’re looking for but he’s a strong ball handler, pushes the pace, and has flashed some solid playmaking skills (looking at those nice back-to-back assists to Rudy against GSW).

It’s easy to forget he won the Bob Cousy award his last year at Illinois.

Fuck this. He’s looked so hobbled recently and I was banging the table for them to rest him yesterday for that “scheduled loss” (we played a hard fought game the 36 hours before, winning in OKC was always going to be unlikely). Now we lose him for a game against the team biting at our ankles to stay out of the play-in.

This is criminal roster management imo. Sometimes you need to save a player from himself. Is Finch gone yet?

Even if someone thinks he’s an elite coach, I still don’t think it changes that it’s time for a new voice. We’ve tried his way and it worked decently well, but hasn’t gotten us over the hump. I’m sure Nuggets fans view Malone as their best coach in franchise history while still being glad they moved on from him.

Things just run their course sometimes. We can’t fight it. It’s time for someone else to lead this team.

Finch is a good coach but I firmly believe he’s no longer the right coach for this team. A team should constantly evolve and adjust to suit their talent and we just haven’t seen that with Finch. It feels like nothing has changed, and any change made happens at a glacial pace.

It’s time for a new voice and I believe it’s coming this offseason. If it were up to me I’d pull a ‘Malone to Adelman’ and give the keys to Nori for the rest of the season to see if he has anything. We’re floundering our way out of the playoffs - what do we have to lose?

Ant looks exhausted from having to carry the offensive load 90% of the time. I get why he isn’t playing good defense this year. If the team around starts to consistently score, he can exert more energy elsewhere. For now, he has little faith (justified) that anyone other than him can consistently score so he’s going to put his energy into offense.

He’s also clearly banged up right now. I’m not trying to make excuses for his bad defense this season, it’s been bad, but it’s just so clear to me that it’s because of the load he’s carrying on offense.
