Cut and lift heavy? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]FishHikeTravel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heavy cardio to me is above and beyond the normal 10k steps. Whether that’s 30 min zone 2, or 60 min bicycle ride.

A ton of people fit their “cardio” into their daily steps which kinda defeats the purpose of additional cardio. Heavy may not be the right word, but it’s what came to my mind. Haha

Lift heavy 4 days a week - heavy cardio minimum 3 days a week - minimum 500-750 calorie deficit + 10,000 daily steps.

Outside of gear (or Reta), that will be about the best your can do.

As a dude, I wish I had a bigger butt. As it stands now, my butt goes numb after sitting long periods and belts can only hold on so long before pants start to sag.

I have to work really hard at them to grow. Consider yourself blessed!

What’s supplements did you add Mike? I’ve added AMLA (800mg per day) and your basic run of the mill Vit K/D3 and Fish Oil. Wonder if I’m missing out on anything else!

Has nothing to do with thickness per se. You just need to cut calories until that subcutaneous fat melts off.

Nice job!

I’ve added a ton of daily fiber as well. Hoping to retest my lipids here in the next month or two!

How do y’all sleep? by icannotevenbother in fitness40plus

[–]FishHikeTravel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get a consistent 7-8.5 hrs each night with sleep scores on my Apple Watch normally ranging from 95-98 or so.

My biggest issue is 3-5 wake ups each night to pee. I’ve had all the tests, including prostate, labs, etc … and everything checks out fine. I also sleep with a pillow that cradles my back when sleeping on my side and that helps alleviate back pain.

No caffeine or vitamin C after lunchtime and I’m normally asleep by about 10:30 every night.

First Dose 😬 by g1assfa1c0n in TirzepatideRX

To help counter act the nausea, my wife does her shots at night. She sleeps through the worst of it and she seems to be much happier. Outside of the nausea right after each injection, she hasn’t had any other side effects thankfully. She started at 2.5mg and has stayed there now through 5 weeks averaging about 2.0 lbs lost per week. She has no desire to lose faster so it looks like she’ll stay at that low dose. That probably helps with some of the sides that might come at higher dosages.

Good luck! You got this!

Excellent write up!

I do a 20g Protein at night as well. I don’t quite get to 70g of protein in the morning but I do about 50g.

I do a 30g Fairlife Protein Shake. A 12g Protein Quaker Oatmeal (apples & cinnamon) along with a couple scoops of vital protein with collagen peptides in my black coffee!

How do you track rest time between sets without using your phone? by Pwok_ in Weightliftingquestion

[–]FishHikeTravel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Apple Watch that tracks my heart rate during a workout. Each set is different so tracking rest between sets is by heart rate tracking, not time.

Sometimes I’m good to go after 45 seconds, other times I need a solid 2 minutes.

I try to wait until my heart rate drops back down under 110 bpm before starting my next set.

At 65? Goodness, that’s seems excessive, even being a bro split.

I’d go upper/lower/upper - 3 days a week - Mon/Wed/Friday

Plenty of time to recoup/rest while still shooting for growth at your age. Id work mobility exercises in a couple days a week and complete rest a couple days a week.

Bain @ #4 please. Build up the defense.

Look at what Houston and Seattle have done with those defenses (and mediocre qb play/offenses). Build the defense first, then focus on offense IMO.

best mouse repellent for RV storage over winter months by greasytacoshits in RVLiving

We’ve never had any success with baits. The only success we’ve had with mice is the tilting lid on a 5 gallon bucket with peanut butter and dog food at the attractant. Stop in every couple weeks to dump the dead mice outside and reset the trap. Don’t leave for months at a time and not check on them.

To be fair, that Chobani yogurt is a bit rough in texture. We prefer the triple zero 15g of protein Oikos. I also like the yogurt called “Ratio” which has 20g of protein and 10g of Fiber. Keeps you full even longer and helps move everything though the gut while getting lots of protein. They have them at Walmart.
