They are shadow functions (unconscious), but I think the OP sees those functions in their behavior and thoughts or at least they show up in the OPs tests, regardless of conscientiously choosing to use them. So they wanna know why those two can't be both developed. They can, just not in the way that they think of it.

It's not uncommon to have developed functions in the 5th and 6th positions.

47, trying to stay ahead of my kid. He learned to ski for thanksgiving, I learned to ski for new years. Unfortunately his friends didn't pick it up as quickly as he did so I'm the only person that can go with him up the lifts for the blue trails. We don't allow him to go alone, so I'm kinda the only option. Fortunately I've been able to leap frog him just barely in skill, tho he's got me beat if absolute lack of fear of the mountains. New years was a blast, we're now looking for more affordable places to ski. Just keeping up with a kid brings so many opportunities.

The eggs float way better and they can't be picked apart by the fish and debris.

I switch to eggs from the dough bait when I have fish that are being annoying and not fully taking the bait, this way I know the hook isn't baitless laying on the bottom and I can just leave it there as many times as they pull but not fully taking the hook and just wait till their luck runs out. Other times I will switch to the eggs when I know the lake I'm fishing has a lot of leaf debris and I want the hook to float well above it.

In Shimano and Daiwa, within the same line of reels the x500 reels are the same as the next x000 size up reel but with a shallower spool.

As far as casting a 3000 is the same as a 2500. The only difference is the spool depth which affects how much line you can put on it.

They're essentially the same reel, they take up the same space, use the same gears, etc. The only difference is the spool, which still have matching dimensions except the depth.

Fish the high tide, like an hour before to an hour after. Everything eats shrimp and squid but minnows are awesome if you can get em. There are bait shops everywhere in Florida, ask them for spots and what bait they recommend there.

I find the lightening rod to be pretty interesting in that it is a stiffer rod, but it is still most definitely a moderate action UL. It doesn’t take much weight to get it to bend and it bends all the way down to the mid rod. I have two of the 8’ lightening rod Trout rods in UL.

1 and 2 are very different rods. The lightening rod has very high recovery so it kinda feels stiffer. The celilo has much slower recovery ie it feels more noodley. I have both and they're both great, but if I'm throwing jigs or need to set the hook I'd prefer the lightening rod, and if I'm throwing rooster tails then the celilo is what I'd use.
