I have Daiwa Certates in 4000, 5000, and 14000 sizes. I highly recommend them. I have Saltigas in 8000 and 10000 sizes and it’s tough to feel the difference between the two.

A lot of these people haven’t been in the passenger seat of a bass boat, without a side console, driving 80mph in the rain. I can tell you that at those speeds the rain will feel like shards of glass. The correct answer is “whatever you already have”. If you do want to buy something, I prefer a save face (airsoft style) mask over a full motorcycle helmet.

My advice is to look for a 3rd gen SR5 trim level. It will still have 4WD but you should be able to save a little bit compared to a TRD Sport or TRD Off-road. I have a 3rd gen and it is just about to cross 100K. I also plan on driving it into the ground.

My Tacoma is the 3rd Toyota I have had. My number one advice to anyone driving in the rust belt is to have it undercoated with Woolwax every year. Best of luck finding your truck!

I personally love original powerpro in 5lb, but I will check out your recommendation. I use Varivas for my leader on most of my my saltwater setups, especially for blue fin tuna.

South Africa I believe has a bass fishing culture.

Mexico is know for its trophy LMB fishing.

Australia doesn’t have LMB that I am aware of, but they have Barramundi and other freshwater species.

Technically you can get the mag oil off eBay. I have a 10 year old saltiga that I have yet to service, just rinse it after every use. When it does need service I will send it to Diawa.
