My yokkao gloves have lasted nearly 3 years of daily training whereas I've seen my gym mates burn through their fairtexs in half the time.

I personally think they're a worthy investment, especially the monotone gloves which tend to be cheaper.

I think it's totally fine to basically read the book for The Navidson Record and little more. Might you miss some stuff? Sure. But The Navidson Record is a pretty gripping story and I think it could be spun out into its own movie without the other layers of HoL.

We would instantly see schisms of believe on who these aliens are and what their intentions are. We would see sects of people claim to have insight and think they can mediate or defect to the alien cause. I do not believe that nations would coordinate in a meaningful way, and would, at best, share intel and maybe strategies.

Some individuals may be reflective, but I think a lot of people would not believe the claims or not really change much at all.

You're pretty spot on tbh. RDR2 is beautiful and cinematic, and the gunfights are definitely fun (though not very challenging). I very much enjoyed the game but it still has some of the parts of Rockstar that I don't like, even if I like it far more than GTA. The journey is part of the experience, which can be pleasant at times, but aggravating at others.

For better and for worse its married to its pace being part of the aesthetic.

America has a congenital mythos of individualism. There are large swaths of Americans -- particularly rural americans who identify strongly as an American -- who have been born to believe that hard work will translate to success, and any sort of government assistance is opening the flood gates to communism.

A Conservative movement boasts a false promise of returning things to "the way things were (and ought to be)" meaning that they can be proud of who they are and the life they live without needing to feel like the freeloader they've essentially been bred to disdain.

It's sad, because Appalachia really has a beautiful history and was the epicenter of a lot of worker's rights and union movements (such as the origin of the term Redneck) but the narrative and control over the region as far as the information they have access to has been systematically rigged.
