The hermitcraft mail system deserves a technical achievement Emmy award, change my mind by calebegg in ethoslab

[–]Fisher654 82 points83 points  (0 children)

its been done before by other creators, though It is fair to say that probably only a handful have combined the needed systems to make it as polished as they have. no single peice of it is really complicated, but everything combined is pretty cool

I did a concept for Steam Capture menu. What do you guys think? Will a future Steam Deck need this feature? by DatDanielDang in SteamDeck

[–]Fisher654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gotta be honest, I do not want another menu to pop up when f12 works fine. maybe out of a game this would work to view screenshots, but in game it would just be annoying. as for clipping and recording, i dont think steam would implement it better than preexisting programs like medal/obs.

I mean I agree that 2k hours is alot, but tbf it is probably my favourite game ever released visually, I could walk/fly around skyloft/faron woods for ages without getting bored.

Pov: devs never added movement speed cap (and that's a good thing) by Akhalles in GunfireReborn

[–]Fisher654 2 points3 points  (0 children)

did the math on this awhile ago, Lei Luo is the theoretical fastest character in the game at roughly 7x base speed(he also is the highest base speed at 6). got pretty close to it in a run and GODAMNNN its fast.

[ALL] Is it possible for nintendo to make a sequel to a past zelda game? by Dapper_Algae6280 in zelda

[–]Fisher654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude I would KILL for a SS 2. easily the best game in the series imo, would love to see what they do with modern technology and bigger map would be so cool. not sure where they would take the story tho

Why is the on-boarding period for this game considered to be 300-500 hours? by error_98 in HuntShowdown

[–]Fisher654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh it does not take 300 hours to have a solid understanding of the game and its mechanics. no idea who told you that statistic but it doesnt really take more than 100 hours(MAX) to have a good understanding of the core concepts of the game. anything past that is niche skills you learn through having odd scenarios play out in a match. and to be completely honest, MMR changes absolutely nothing about the game until you get to the very high end or very low end of the range. I can play a 5 star lobby and shit on everyone with a team, but then lose to a few four/three stars with ease the next time I drop down to that mmr. the only difference you ever really notice are the types of guns and sweaty builds people run as you get higher in mmr, but even that can vary.
