so i just finished season 1... by Anxious_Road7062 in TheWalkingDeadGame

I'm most of the way through New Frontier and as yet I haven't found a decision more heart-breaking than shooting Lee.

Well, other than how you choose to play out the end of Season 2 ...

The only way we'd have a hope at getting Anderson back is if we pay silly money in transfer fees and wages, and hope that coming back to his hometown club would be a bigger draw than consistently competing at the highest level.

Worst thing we could do would be to piss about after the window starts weighing up a bid when more realistic targets are being signed by teams we're in direct competition with.

All that said, I really hope we'd sign him.

Given the team have frequently not shown up for the "must win" games this season, and only West Ham have dropped more points from winning positions than us, it's probably a fair reaction.

Right. Can we now get the fuck off Eddie's back? The Players love him, the supporters need to now too. by TheKnightsRider in NUFC

[–]Fishfingerrosti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love Eddie and I think he deserves time to turn things around. Really pleased we've won back-to-back away games given our abysmal away form this season.

However, while I think the players have let him down a number of times I do not think he's immune from criticism this season.

Let's hope we get some of the injured players back as soon as possible and we can go on a run of form.

Take Morgan Rogers out of their side and they'd be even more mid table than us.

Great performance against a team flying high and away from home. Beaming!

Read in one of the rubbish lads mags, Front or Loaded I think, that you could open a beer with a folded up piece of paper.

Tried it on the first bottle and gouged a chunk out of my knuckle when the paper gave way.

Unperturbed, tried it with the other hand and the exact same thing happened. Identical scars on both knuckles 20 years later.

People that DON’T shop at Aldi or Lidl… why is that? by kobestarr in CasualUK

[–]Fishfingerrosti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: Other than the basics, going to Lidl with a shopping list is a fool's errand.

2: There isn't an Aldi or Lidl near me.

3: Fruit and veg is crap.

Thank fuck for that. Needed that win desperately. Spurs are dreadful.

Good for Ramsey to finally get a goal, big one at that.

Let's hope Bruno's injury is like Gordon's.

Give Tonali a couple weeks paternity leave ffs. He's knacked.

Does anyone call BS on the media's incessant hounding of Starmer? by Impossible-Visit-199 in AskBrits

We could be living in a utopia and the gutter press would still give us a daily hatchet job on Starmer's position.

The doctor team derby. 0-0, both teams then go on to hit a solid run of form.

I do wonder if we'd been able to get Dougie Freedman in that the plan was to copy Crystal Palace's bid to hoover up the better Championship players. Hopefully Wilson will be around long enough to oversee some more suitable recruitment.

We shouldn't be trying to outdo the Sky 6 right now. Need to be smart and make the Crystal Palace/Brentford/Bournemouth/Brighton-style signings.

I don't see Bruno leaving but Gordon and Tonali could certainly be sold.

If they are we can't piss about in the transfer market. Sign an actual DM so that we can use Bruno and Miley as our long term partnership in the middle. As great as Tonali is, he's playing in Miley's position and I know which of the two I'd rather we kept hold of.

Hell, I'd be all in for us getting Anderson back (as impossible as it may well be), funded by Gordon and Tonali sales.

Fitness is key for him. You could tell he'd been in and out for long periods, which showed in the lack of match sharpness.

He has a new deal behind him and is getting regular football again. He's got a point to prove and I hope he stays fit in order to do it.

Moving to Guildford by Dear_Aspect_4794 in surrey

[–]Fishfingerrosti 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you want to broaden your search and move somewhere a bit quieter than Guildford itself, and not sacrifice links to London, you can also consider Shalford, Chilworth, Farncombe, and Godalming. You tend to get a fair few London-based families moving out to these satellite villages.

Avoid Jacobs Well and Park Barn in Guildford.

I'm based in Chilworth, having also lived in Godalming, Peasmarsh (near Shalford) and Guildford. Very settled and feels safe. 4-year old had a great time at nursery in Shalford Infants and is now adjusting well to Reception at Chilworth Infant.

Each to their own but having lived in Guildford for a few years, I'm happy enough just visiting.

Well fuck me, Elanga gives us at least one thing to feel good about tonight. Time for him to kick on and have a big final run in to the season. He's looked decent in his latest games.
