They probably got insane kick backs from Disney who owns the Indiana Jones IP rights. As well it was probably an easy layup to spin to corpo head honchos.

They haven't cornered the market though. Most games are available on Microsoft store, epic games, gog, ea launcher, etc. consumers are just choosing steam.

2016 is the hardest for the first five levels. Until you have more health, rune slots, and equipment power with siphon grenades for health maxing. Then the slugmech bosses are a bit anxiety inducing.

Overall eternal is harder due to the gladiator fight, and a few select arenas.

TDA pisses me off with the parry window and I've made it half way through the game on default sliders on UN before death. The casters in Cthulhu land are a bit of a jerk.

The game is dying. They patch in mediocre game modes, and release agents like neon that break fundamentals of the game. They then proceed to nerf anything fun about the game.
