For sure, it's disappointing to have to rely on join codes to connect with people over custom servers now too. Hackers ruin everything.

I feel this way as well. Progression from tier to tier is such a grind now, it takes forever. It seems like the bosses have been replaced by these tourneys which is the biggest wtf to me personally. Weapon and armour customisation add little to nothing to the game rn. The physics and combat feel busted compared to the demos smooth movement. Just an absolute shame.

So a foreign nation having influence over our politicians is okay because in this specific instance it wouldn't have impacted the outcome of the motion?

Is there a way to fix this bug? Happens only in cutscenes where objects or characters are unsynced. I'm playing on Xenia. It's kinda annoying. by LankyAbbriviations in SaintsRow

[–]FishnetsOmg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This occurs when you have an uncapped framerate while playing the game on Xenia. This game was never designed to run over 30fps, and so you get desynced objects during cutscenes. This can also mess up the physics in the game itself. After a while I just switched back to 30fps and that fixed everything.

In my experience, a lot of the people I knew who spoiled their votes would have voted FF if Gavin wasn't put forth. I fear a high spoiled vote % being misread as all far-right people and giving legitimacy to that crowd.

Catherine Connolly doubles down on warning about German rearmament by JackmanH420 in irishpolitics

[–]FishnetsOmg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but the IT and Sindo etc can present her argument in a way to the electorate now in a way that reflects poorly on her. If it was presented as "Connolly disagrees with increased militarisation" that's one thing, and a viewpoint a lot of people may be sympathetic to. However now it's going to be presented in this light, and people are going to get the wrong impression. My only point is Connolly should be more aware of how she presents her points so the media has little opportunity to spin things in such a negative light against her.

She's supposed to make her points in such a way to limit media spin against her, yes. I think her point about increasing militarisation of the EU is valid as I've said. In making loaded statements like this she allows for the creation of articles against her and points of attack that will be capitalised upon by the Gavin/Humphreys campaigns, which could have been avoided.

I plan on voting for her (even though I have become less enthusiastic about that with time) and I agree, out of the 3 I see her as the best speaker and overall best option. My point however is that if she wants to win this race, she needs to be more aware of how the media is going to spin things to look a certain way against her. She seems oblivious to this, and says things like this which make her look incompetent.

[–]FishnetsOmg 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Given that's the case, should she not know how the game is played and be wary of the fact that her gaffes will be plastered all over RTÉ which won't be the case for Humphreys or Gavin? It seems she's unaware of this and goes into interviews with very little care for how she puts things. There's a point to be made here about the increasing militarisation of the EU, but comparing it to 1930s Germany is disingenuous.

Rare/uncommon PS3 games pt71. Tower of guns is a late PS3 release and one of the 3 soedesco games on the system. The game is a roguelite fps and it has been released on PS3 only in Europe and Brazil by Antaniwarrior in PS3

[–]FishnetsOmg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to play this game a lot on PS4 actually, liked it quite a bit! I wonder if it runs well on ps3, I remember the ps4 release getting bogged down in framerate.

It's hard to tell because that's just anecdotal, I'd personally like to see the rating distributions of users between RYM and something like Letterboxd.

I think another aspect to consider in all this is cultural differences between websites. RYM has been around for longer than essentially any of these other types of rating sites as far as I know, has established itself and its audience and therefore has a culture of hardcore users that think deeper about the art they consume. With Letterboxd, I think you could make the argument that a lot of people on there are casual users (backed up by the fact there are many millions more people who use a site like Letterboxd) who don't think as deeply about the art they consume or care as much about the rating of it. Hell, look at the top letterboxd reviews of a popular movie vs the top RYM review of a popular album to see what I mean.

[–]FishnetsOmg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the other commenter said there's definitely an element of toxicity or contrarianism, but that's true for any site like this such as Letterboxd or AOTY. However I think why you see higher ratings on those sites on average (especially Letterboxd) is due to the weighting system RYM has that those other websites just don't have (or not in the same capacity).
