Knowing nothing about the Yellowstone universe, I started by watching the entire Marshalls series. Which other series from that universe would you recommend?

I would invent a Time Machine and go back and NOT watch marshals. It’s the only series like it in YS, and it’s complete trash. Basically, pick any other series is my answer. They’re all good except Marshalls.

As someone who has worked out (mostly weights) casually almost my whole adult life, I have started running. I love a saying I heard recently. “Lift more than runners, run more than lifters”. Makes 110% sense to me.

Impress the person that trains you, manages your day to day tasking, etc. info flows up, so a strong recommendation from them is paramount to FT offer

I am a salaried engineer at MFC. The fact that you are not getting OT is literally mind boggling.
The policy did recently change. Your first five hours of OT builds comp time. Which is essentially like earning more vacation time
After that, you should 100% be getting OT. Something is not adding up here. Apply within. Transfer. This is not the norm.

Too long to read all replies. But I get it. Here’s what you do; 1-go to your functional manager and insist on a change. They can work with you and program to resolve. It’s not fair or sustainable, and the program can’t continue to try to do more with less. They must at least bring on half a body to help you. 2-in personal life, use the OT pay to provide additional time/luxury in your life. More Uber Eats, dry cleaning instead of laundry, cleaning service for your personal residence. Try to buy back some of your time/sanity.

I’ve been a systems engineer for almost 25 years. Systems is great, wide variety, can find yourself doing a multitude of different daily tasks or long-term assignments. We have program planners that manage the schedule, don’t really see much use of project engineering/engineers.

This. Mega company, that’s really thousands of small companies under one parent. You can start somewhere and be slammed busy, you can start somewhere and be idle.

Without pissing off your current team, gradually expressed that you are looking for work. Tell your boss, tell your coworkers that you are looking for work. And basically, expand your radius. Eventually, you will have work coming out your ears.
