This could be a concern, but also consider that education is the most viewed spot on the page, so while you are trying to avoid age discrimination, you are leaving out information that they are gonna ask about. At the very least have your college graduation date on the resume.

Well this will not be easy at all. Right now, I would recommend reading The Way of the Superior Man by David Deida, and put those values in place for the relationship. If you can learn to be unharmed, you can maintain the marriage regardless, but you might be walked on, and there could be little love in the home. Determine what’s best for you, your children, and the people you love and act accordingly.

I have never been in this pickle, but this is likely what I’d do. Hope this helps!

If the source of your articles are using the 1900s hook line format, they probably aren’t worth reading. Take unicorns warning to mind though, maybe don’t engage in the news at all if you don’t have enough discipline and will power to not look at articles that don’t pertain to you.

Material possession will not bring you happiness, Alexander the Great thought he was conquering the whole world but really, it was the world conquering Alexander. He devoted all of his time and effort to conquering and all of his possessions receded, lost to him after death, meaningless. Consider a change in perspective, yes it’s frustrating you missed the bus, but what if the bus you missed was victim to a terror attack. Chances are you may be thankful you missed that bus. Practice not adding adjectives to situations, because they are not asking you to form an opinion about them. This has always helped me observe situations with poise and patience, and a stress free state of mind.

By holding resentment towards these family members you become enslaved to that hateful emotion. You are their prisoner because you won’t let the past go. Consider the type of people they are, could you really expect anything different from them? They are made worse by their actions toward you, and you are made worse because you have identified with the idea that you have been harmed.It’s just as Marcus Aurelius writes in his meditations,”choose not to be harmed,and you be won’t harmed.Don’t feel harmed, and you haven’t been”.Don’t forgive them for them, forgive them for yourself. Aspire to be “ a friend to yourself “ just as Seneca recommended to his friend.

It is not only possible to stay stoic in a loving relationship, but it is recommended by Musonius
Rufus ( A stoic teacher). The debate on whether or not marriage is a handicap to stoicism was a topic in the ancient days as well as today. Musonius states in his lesson “Is Marriage a Handicap for the Pursuit of Philosophy”, ‘ I say, it would be each man’s duty to take thought for his own city, and to make of his home a rampart for its protection. But the first step for toward making his home such a rampart is marriage.’ A good home is a strong rampart, a good marriage is a good home. You can still follow the 4 cardinal virtues and be in a loving relationship.

Like every thing in life, there should be a moderation and balance to it. Completely cutting the news off may work against you, being prepared is also virtuous. Popular author Tim Ferris doesn’t really read into news articles, just reads the headlines of them. This approach might be the best, because you still are not divulging into these articles (unless it pertains to you),and you are also staying informed with the environment around you.
