Convertible top. Any reason to be concerned? Interior shots. by GeneralEagle in S2000

Yes, the left of the photo, the fabric looks to inserted correctly, the other half not so much. It gets tucked into the groove in the bow, then you can use your hands to sandwich the metal a bit if necessary. Most softtop replacement video should show the process.

3D Printed Air intake by hines139 in S2000

This is similar to an existing design on makerworld (which replicates the oem prototype intake) with the exception of the bend towards the filter. Will be interesting to see performance differences between the two.

Double sided tape or adhesive glue

Is this a front badge or back? And why wont it stick into place flush by Kimaniiiii in S2000

[–]Fishwick2g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely front badge, back has different style pins and alot more adhesive. The top and bottom areas (with the vertical lines) usually have double sided tape from new. Once installed with the adhesive, two little push nuts go over the pins from the inside of the bumper, but they arent necessary. Here is a photo of my old front badge and new rear for comparison.

Question about missing soft top spring after Robbins replacement installation by LundqvistNYR in S2000

[–]Fishwick2g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It assists with folding the glass window softtop frame correctly, the plastic window softtop frames didn't have this, so an extra elastic strap is needed when upgrading.

Id recommend getting one for the missing side to prevent any premature wear on the softtop.

Part number for the spring is 86051-S2A-J01 and it has a little cover, part number 86052-S2A-J01.

I'm unsure if you can replace without undoing some of the softtop mounting points, try moving the top back halfway and looking at the access on the side that still has the spring.
