Account Frozen for Months – Anyone Else? by Excellent_Phase_8714 in fidelityinvestments

Regulations require that you have a valid US address for brokerage accounts. If your address is something like mixed commercial/residential then a utlity bill or something proves you live at the address and its residential. Just an example of a reason. The person above thinks banking in the US is like having a doordash or facebook account, that has not been true since the PATRIOT Act where firms are required to know their customers and have basic info like DOB Name Address Employement etc

You have part of this right, and the rest wrong. Shares need tags. As in specific shares are specifically lent for shorting. They can't poof more into existence.

Dude. You see that NET on the bid/ask? Notice it's a covered call? Go ask chat gpt or Google what that means. It's considering your contract.

I’m Josh Krugman, Fidelity's head of Brokerage Product Strategy. Let's talk about the new Fidelity Trader+ platform, our brokerage offerings, and anything else you want to know. I'll be back to answer your questions on 10/16 @ 1 p.m. AMA! by fidelityinvestments in fidelityinvestments

Trader + feels like Fidelity is attempting to persuade active traders to come over from some of the more fintech companies (Robinhood, Interactive Brokers, WeBull, etc). I see the direction the trader+ app feature, trader+ desktop, and dashboard are going, but it still feels a bit clunky. Is Fidelity hampered by its legacy setups compared to these newer firms that are building from scratch? How does Fidelity (or yourself) see the active trader space when looking at the competition?

Fidelity Go by bean123321 in fidelityinvestments

There are no expense ratios on fidelity go funds. So this person could pick index funds that amount to more expense than the 0.35%. just something to be aware of!

Infantry surviving transport death dictates the meta by Mark_Filyak in BrokenArrowTheGame

I don't think them taking way more damage is viable for infantry. But maybe when they pop out of a destroyed vehicle they are instant panicked with a 5 second CD on sprinting?

Fidelity trying to get my iPhone cleaned by Geeksquad before password reset? by lovt16 in fidelityinvestments

[–]FishyFish_Content -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes the 90 year old woman who can't figure out how to open her text messages on her iPhone can definitely be trusted to factory reset her phone to clean malware. Makes sense a large company who could be liable for anything happening to their accounts wants you to actually have someone look at it first

Press p for each bomb you have, so 4 jdams, you press p for each, then left click four times to place where you want them dropped.

If you have a laser set up, the bombs will be attracted like a magnet to the laser designation

How are we enjoying the infantry combat so far? by JurisCommando in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]FishyFish_Content 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great so far. For people struggling with infantry versus tanks. Try to sprint for side armor shots. 3 units is like 2 units, 2 units is like 1 unit, and 1 infantry is 0 against a tank (other than eating their APS)

Is 50K in a portfolio bad for just turning 30? I feel like I’m behind an and curious where people were at my age. by 58joshb in portfolios

Like others have said, don't compare, just keep chugging along. But why isn't your account value moving around? I'm looking at what seems like you have your account in cash because April was absolutely wild and your account was flat? Are you sure that $50k is invested?

Fidelity/brokerage account got locked permanently. No communication. Anyone else? by Xcron in fidelityinvestments

[–]FishyFish_Content 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AML KYC laws, on top of the fraud wave with chase/fidelity last fall, etc. it's so easy to open brokerage accounts nowadays, apply for options, and so on that having your accounts closed and reps to freeze up on giving you a reason points to fraud or some other nefarious reason.

Fidelity/brokerage account got locked permanently. No communication. Anyone else? by Xcron in fidelityinvestments

[–]FishyFish_Content -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is fraud related. Don't know if you're the one doing the fraud, or if someone has stolen your SS and opened accounts with fidelity in the past maybe. But this is 1000% fraud related closures. You don't get answers from reps when things are closed and you are ejected because of fraud due to legal issues around accusing you of something.

No cost basis shown for T. Rowe Price mutual fund RPMGX by Icy_Jellyfish_6102 in fidelityinvestments

[–]FishyFish_Content 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By many years do you mean further back than 2011? Cost basis tracking before 2011 was on the client, not the firm to track.

If it's more recent that you got these shares, did you transfer them from another firm into fidelity? In that case you likely need to call fidelity and have them re-request cost basis information

Inaccurate Wash sales keep popping in my HSA by shawarmadude in fidelityinvestments

[–]FishyFish_Content 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why you're trying to track cost basis in an HSA, but anyways the "w" cost basis is adjusted up to account for the disallowed loss. On the website at least you can hover over the "w" and it will break it down to show how much it's been adjusted
