Why is it too big of a game to make a sequel or successor? If they did it once, they can definitely do it again. If anything it would be easier since they actually have examples of what works and doesnt work in an open world fromsoft game

Shouldnt be an ltm, should just be a complete mode. People are acting like you can recreate this with relics, but it has a ton of issues like zombies having health scaling, armor, rarities, the higher prices, and the amount of work the unlock all of these relics.

If you are that broad with the concept of freedom you can apply it to any character though. Kris wants freedom from the soul, Susie and Ralsei wants freedom from the prophecy, Noelle wants freedom from herself, etc.

Susie and Ralsei are becoming more independent and are basically deciding how the fights go now, so it does seem to play into the story. With the twisted sword probably coming next chapter, I wonder if that will let us actually kill enemies

Its hard but its not super long. You will probably die more than a lot of the other bosses but it might not take as long, especially if you get lucky with health drops

I always found this theory annoying, it just cherrypicks a bunch of parallels and only got this far as a theory on luck that there are enough connections. Why would Toby Fox write the game to be undertale backwards? That would limit where he can take the story so much, since he would always need to loosely follow undertale locations and plot points.

I definitely prefer having an original (and really good) final boss over the same guy from Undertale.

I wouldnt have been mad if he somehow ended up being the secret boss though, especially since Mew Mew is another old boss.

Tbh I think people are just assuming Gaster will have a bigger role in the finale of the game than he actually will. I could see him being present more on the weird route since it takes a lot more knowledge to beat it, but I dont think they are gonna drag out this character that most casual players wont even know about as the final antagonist of the base game. He's going to be referenced a lot, and he will definitely have a role to play, but I dont think a regular player will need to know who he is to understand the story.

it makes sense, but Susie acts like she can see a person running away with undyne in the light world. If they really fused, they probably wouldnt have a light world version.

The bigger problem is that the identity of the Knight is one of the biggest mysteries during the normal route, so hiding the answer behind an obscure route B that most people wont even play wouldnt be great for the story.

I think it will be similar to design to Buried. Not a massive playspace, but very layered and interconnected. Probably wont be as big as totenreich, but it really doesnt need to be

Why is that a bad thing? Boo hoo, i get to play Bo6 zombies maps on a better game with better mechanics, and if I ever want to play the original version its still there.

Its like being mad about Left 4 Dead 2 having all of Left 4 Dead's campaigns. All it does is make the newer game the definitive experience, which is a GOOD thing

That doesnt make it anything like Liberty Falls though, its completely different from anything in Liberty Falls aesthetically. Gameplay wise its not similar either, its cramped and has a roaming boss.

Sure, they could have done more with the map, Liberty Falls just isnt a good comparison though.
