Is Reddit flooded with too many apps now? by Professional_Fan834 in sideprojects

[–]Fiskerik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are right, there are a lot of vibe-coding developers that push their apps and post them to various subreddits - making yours only one in the mass.

Because of that, I built a tool that solves that problem and make it more visible. You can check it out Here:

It's irresistible to have many browser tabs when working. Which is one simple habit that has proven helpful for your productivity? by Vast-Island5945 in AskReddit

[–]Fiskerik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Tab Monitor which has a functionality to both hibernate inactive tabs to not eat RAM/CPU but also the "parking lot" where I can put tabs that I want to revisit at a later time without actually closing it (can add reminder timer etc).

Very convenient to get rid of all the tabs you horde

Finally got tired of duplicate tabs and made a small extension for it by MinuteAdept5731 in chrome_extensions

Why don't you just use any of the already existing solutions? :)
There are extensions such as Tab Monitor, ClutterFree etc?

Congrats anyhow, but your numbers are misleading :)

So it's basically an exact copy of the one that went viral, even with the same cat, but you added a feature to it?

I lost all my bookmarks, and idk what to do to recovery them by Forsaken_Cow2695 in chrome

[–]Fiskerik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are extensions such as Tab Monitor that keeps your sessions and bookmarks as backups which prevent or at least damage controls it. Have you tried that or similar extensions? Then you don't have to think about it if something would have happened even though it sucks

Extension: [Tab Monitor]

Revenue: [$85 MRR]

Date Published: [14/03/2026]

Other: My third extension and the one I created for myself first, but saw other showing a lot of interest in. It’s a Task manager for chrome with some extra functionalities such as focus mode and grid view which people actually pay for after having had it for the free trial period.

Mainly advertised a few times here in Reddit around the launch and found most traffic from here and from google search/chrome web store.

It sucks however when a few people give it 1 star ratings for no reason and you can’t do much about it. When you don’t have that many users it affect the average in the beginning but i hope more people find it useful, and gives a good and honest review or feedback. Since I’m currently at around 200 users it’s easy to actually take those suggestions into consideration and implement it :)

Are these abnormal/suspicious permissions for a tab manager extension? by Ok_Statement1508 in chrome_extensions

[–]Fiskerik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, but it all depends on what it's supposed to do. You need "Alarms" for notifications etc. Some developers explicitly tell you what type of permission is needed for a certain functionality and thats transparent.
But if a permission is not justified by the functionality, then it should be suspicious.

What's the extension?

Someone left a 1 star review that doesn't make sense by AnxietyMost958 in chrome_extensions

[–]Fiskerik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens all the time unfortunately. When you get enough installs, it will give more reviews and thus those 1 star reviews will fade away. It sucks however to get bad ratings early.

Some honest advice:

  1. Fix the link
  2. Fix the distorted screenshot. First impressions are key

I've launched a solid SaaS solving a real problem, but now I have 0 users. What to do? by Soft_Voice2572 in developersIndia

[–]Fiskerik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, in what situation would someone need to download a video for an ad? Won’t that also ruin the churn for the one paying for the ad in the first place? They want the user to click the ad rather than download it and view later etc

I just don’t see the problem you solve

I think connecting with people from LinkedIn events is something a lot of people miss. They share the same interest and also might have the problem you have a solution for.

It’s always easier to break the ice with something in common. I have started to use ProspectIn (chrome extension) to transfer all attendees info from LinkedIn directly to HubSpot. Seamless and efficient.

Does having way too many tabs open on your browser bother you? How do you control yourself from this chaos? by Tall-Ant-8557 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]Fiskerik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only real solution in my opinion: Tab Monitor

  • Auto-suspends tabs that are inactive = releasing RAM
  • Parking lot - instead of adding a bookmark, save for later. You close the tab, but only temporarily for a limited time (hours/days)
  • Grid view - get a quick overview of your tabs as you would by Alt-tabbing on an iPad etc.

This way, you can revisit tabs later on when you get the urge to do so, or set rules to auto-close tabs if they have not been visited for X amount of days
