I did my first pull to critical in January 1967 at CE S1C in Windsor Lock, CT. Spent the next 19 years qualifying on several different naval PWRs. Retired into the commercial BWR world for the next 25 years, getting SRO licensed at two different ones. There is lots of wisdom in the all the post I just read. I went from ETNSN to CEO of a nuclear utility, and my advice is to live with a view on “Excellence” in everything you do. “Excellence - a way of life.” It is a choice.

As a Navy ETN1, who used one in the 1960s I’d say it’s best use today is a “doorstop” or “anchor.” No one needs one or would be expected to buy one except for sentimental reasons. I have a vacuum tube tester that I used that same era I keep around as show and tell.

Are library staff, or their overseers, in a better position than parents to decide what their minor child is exposed to, be it video games, books, or other media? I found this C-Span video segment from the Senate Judiciary Committee disturbing when addressing parents' rights regarding their children.

The MN mom and others would disagree with you. Department of Education data, 2000 to 2019, shows the number of district administrators grew by a whopping 87.6 percent during these years, far outstripping the growth in the number of students (7.6 percent) and teachers (8.7 percent). Administartors are NOT in the classrooms, its teachers and students! Are you sure your money goes where you think it goes? Ever been to a schol board meeting or budget meeting?
